Could not recommend Bar 44 enough. We had the private room yesterday for a 40th birthday celebration and it was fantastic from start to finish! Food & cocktails were amazing, staff were so lovely! Felt really exclusive downstairs and even had full reign of the music downstairs. Absolutely 5* and would recommend if you want to book a private event!

There were two standout dishes at Bar 44. The Sobrasada Ibérica with rosemary honey. Salty, sweet and smokey and the Olavidia cheese with flatbread and chutney. These were a delightful way to start the meal. The remaining dishes all had something I would add or change. The padrón peppers needed some flaky salt, a higher ratio of jamon in the croquetas, finer crumb on the scallops and a chunkier salad to balance out the smokiness of the duck patty. The pork belly was extremely dry and the fat chewy. Overall, we enjoyed our meal but think some minor adjustments could make the food great. The range of drinks on offer is fantastic, as a vermouth lover I was pleased to see such a range on offer - especially the rojo on tap. Service is fabulous, inviting and makes the whole experience enjoyable.

We booked a table downstairs in the vault and it was an all round exquisite experience. The server was perfect, so attentive, but not overly, very fun and so helpful. The ambience was perfect and the food was knock-out. I'm definitely going to book this again for a lunchtime party. Best day out for a long time. Thank you Bar 44!
