I can’t say enough good about this place. I have now been many times. My latest trip involved a delightful beef carpaccio to start, a very smooth house red wine and a large pork chop for main with potatoes. I have also enjoyed a Sunday roast there which ticked all the boxes of what I consider to be a decent roast. For example, good quantity, tasty ingredients, proper roast potatoes that are fluffy inside and golden outside and delectable gravy. The staff are warm and friendly and cannot do enough to help, and the atmosphere is cosy and wood based. I’d say as it stands it is in the top 10 local restaurants in the centre of the city.
I can’t fault a single dish, partner had the Swordfish which was superbly cooked and the rich tomato sauce was fresh and full of flavour and she is still talking about a week later!
The Scallops were excellently cooked, soft and flavourful and not rubbery and complimented very well by the chorizo oil.
Even the burger was exceptional (and I have eaten a lot of burgers in my life)
The cocktails were delicious, perhaps too delicious as we got through A LOT. My one niggle would be the Jalapeño cocktail was not spicy at all. But as that was the worst thing about the experience I cannot really complain. A real cocktail gem in Bristol! Didn’t expect them to be so good.
The staff were knowledgeable, presentable and friendly and put up with our awful jokes and relentless cocktail ordering.
A great location with possibly one of Bristol’s greatest terrace dinning experiences. The interior design offsets the exterior view nicely by filling the eyeballs with luscious greens and dark browns so when you walk through the restaurant and out to the terrace you are treated with the contrasting brightness and openness of the view.
I wish I had taken more photos of the dishes and the nibbles but we were having too much fun.
One of my favourite restaurants, the atmosphere is relaxed yet the service is efficient and the food, especially the seafood is incredible. The food is fresh always and the prices reflect the quality
Had the most delicious meal here the other week for my daughters graduation! Porthilly oysters, scallops, burrata, mussels, lobster, trout, and plaice. Only negative was the plaice, which seemed a bit on the small side, not enough flesh. Apart from that, it was faultless and very tasty! Oysters were very fresh and delicious! Oh and a nice bottle of prosecco too. Really lovely surroundings overlooking the river, would have been nice to sit outside had it not been raining! Very comfortable and relaxed afternoon.
Really good seafood. I liked the sizes of the dishes, not too small, nor too big. Can get somewhat busy and noisy, if the weather allows, sitting outside viewing the harbour is probably the best. The quite spicy jalapeno cocktail goes well with the food. The scallops starter was very good too.
Amazing service very friendly and helpful, let us store our birthday cake in the storage room. We had a large group off 36 and every dish was delicious & cooked perfectly, the drinks especially the cocktails were tasty and the service was 10/10. Can’t fault a single thing had an amazing time. We will definitely be back.
We recently visited for a business celebration and were very impressed. A diverse and well-considered menu with plenty of quality regional produce and local wine. Welcoming decor and friendly, attentive staff. Definitely recommended and will visit again.

Lovely place with a lovely Sunday roast. We came here because they are dog friendly, waitress adored our two spaniels and brought a bowl of water without us asking.
Best cauliflower cheese. Sunday roast as it should be. Superlative seafood linguine. And excellent wine list, beer and coffee. Not to mention warm and attentive service. Pretty good.
Another excellent visit to Harbour house, great food, drink. My sea bream was delightful washed down with a quality fruity red pinotage. Back soon.
