Everything was perfect for our Sunday lunch at Nadu. The food and cocktails were delicious. The black pork curry was our firm favourite but it was all extremely tasty. Great service, Sunday tunes and atmosphere. Thank-you!
Great restaurant in the middle of Stokes Croft. Lively and funky atmosphere. It gets crowded quickly and is popular, so I would be sure to have a table reservation.
I would recommend the share and tear dosa - it’s huge and we shared it between 6 people.
The daiquiris are also amazing, alcoholic and delicious! I particularly enjoyed the passion fruit & ginger and the pomegranate & lychee!
We had a lovely dinner at Nadu!!
Friendly and helpful service. All the food was full of flavour, we particularly enjoyed the spicy Prawn Devil and Black Pork Curry….the Dosa was also delicious!!
Will definitely visit again
Stumbled across this cute Sri Lankan restaurant and bar drinks and so glad we did! The drinks selection was vast. The service and recommendations provided by Ana was absolutely brilliant. So really want to thank her for making our visit so much fun!

The ragi kal dosa was delicious with some tasty sambhar and chutney. It was very homely and I definitely recommend that if you have had ragi dosa before. I had some sambhar mini idli which was good but had it's flaws with the idli being a bit too chewy at it's edges. To wash this down I was having the non alcoholic Pina colada. The drink was yummy but was overloaded with ice. If you do order it, specifically ask for less ice. Overall it was a good meal.
This is such a brilliant restaurant! My partner and I went for a late lunch on a weekday and the flavour of the food was really unique. They’ve kept the traditional flavours superbly but added a fresh twist which we hadn’t had before and we eat a lot of Indian/Sri Lankan food as we were visiting Bristol from London. The service from the staff was excellent too, I am vegan and they have lots of options, as well as I really wanted Kottu but the vegan one is made with Idli which I’m not personally a fan of (sorry), and the waiter checked with the kitchen and they made me a fresh one with Parotta which was so delicious. This personal touch was so appreciated. As it was quiet, one of the kitchen staff came out to check everything was good with our food which it was. Had two mocktails which were great too. Even small things made a big difference to our meal - I was eating with my hand for most of it which in British culture people can turn their nose up at for not using cutlery and no one in the restaurant could care less. One of the staff even saw me doing so and smiled with a little nod. Only critique was it felt a bit expensive for Bristol so wouldn’t come super regularly but everything else was brilliant so thank you to all the lovey staff who work hard to make it that way!! Also some of the reviews people complaining the food is a bit spicy?? Why are you in a south Asian restaurant then?? A bad review can make a big difference to small businesses so if the food isn’t to your taste as you’re not used to this cuisine, you should keep your unhelpful opinion to yourself!
Friends that live in Bristol brought us here and it was delicious! We had the tear and share Dosa, and then shared a mixture of curries and other dishes. The waitress looking after us was friendly and attentive. The cocktails were strong but tasty. It was quite busy so there was a nice buzz about the place and we dined early at 6:30pm.
The food that is listed as spicy, has definitely got a kick to it, so bear that in mind if you’re not into spice. However there are plenty of options that aren’t spicy and plenty of vegetarian options too! My first time at a Sri Lankan restaurant, I’d definitely return!
Busy, vibey Tamil restaurant with a notably original menu and really, really tasty food. Had the Prawn Devil for a starter, which was outstanding. Everything else we ordered (4 of us) was excellent. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. We’d had to delay our table 30 minutes at the last minute on a Friday night, which they thankfully were able to accommodate. There were some bigger groups in too who all seemed to be well looked after. The bill for 2 great courses each and sides with drinks came in at a reasonable £45 a head including service. Nadu is on our list of talked-about and remembered restaurants!
Went in again! Has become our regular place to go! Staff are so kind, we arrived later than our booked time due to some difficulties and they did their best to accommodate us. Every dish was so delightful, we just enjoyed every bit of it! And on top, when they came to know it was my husband’s birthday, they even surprised us with birthday cake / dessert with little candles! How sweet! They just made the birthday even more special!
Authentic South Indian food, amazing ambience and great hospitality. My favourite in Bristol!
Well, what can I say except everything was AMAZING! We were served by Johnathan, who'd told us that he'd only been working here for a week, but his service was exceptional, and you would not have known if he hadn't told us!! The food was unbelievable, we ate so much we thought we were going to explode... Totally worth it! Food is a little pricey, but, you get what you pay for!!
