Loved this restaurant after finding it reviewed here. Took my 70+ parents who love Chinese food but can’t have MSG, too much salt etc. It’s excellently prepared, quick, fresh, non-greasy and homely. It’s was very busy with takeaway orders but you should eat in, it’s a relaxed place to go with friends and family.

Tried Xing Long out tonight for the first time. The lady who took my order over the phone couldn't find my address but persisted and was friendly and patient. The food was lovely, each dish actually tasted different which I find some Chinese takeaways fail to deliver on. The Szechuan pork was really tasty, crispy beef actually crispy and spicy and rice tasted fresh and moist. We had the food delivered and arrived within the 45 minutes I was advised it would be. The lady who delivered the food had some struggles finding our house but when she did she was extremely polite and friendly. I would really recommend this to anyone who wants a good quality Chinese takeaway and if you appreciate good service.

Really enjoy the food at Xing Long, always been delicious (especially the twice cooked pork). It's much lighter on salt and oil than typical Chinese takeaways, which I like. Staff are friendly in my experience, though it is cash-only. Giving 4 of 5 stars as sometimes they don't have available everything on their menu, and did forget our spring rolls once. A minor negative for an otherwise good service 👍 Happily come back again.

We placed an order for delivery, and got the fried pork udon noodles, which my boyfriend really liked however I thought they were a bit greasy and didn't have much pork. Then the crispy beef in chilli sauce, the beef to batter ratio was a bit heavy on the batter side, I couldn't really taste the beef. However, the salt and pepper chicken, and the sweet and sour chicken, were both brilliant! We also had the duck pancakes, the plum sauce was a bit milder than I'd like but my boyfriend preferred it this way so again just personal preference. When ordering, the person that I spoke to didn't seem to be thrilled to be speaking to me, not the best telephone manner, but I do understand working in hospitality can be tough. He'd said 40-50 minutes, we were surprised when the doorbell rung after about 20 mins! So, very quick delivery for a Sunday night. Delivery was cheap too, only £1, and I'd say the food was all reasonably priced. Thanks very much Xing Long.

Absolutely incredible food. The best Chinese food we have tasted in Bristol (I have lived here for nearly 10 years). I never leave reviews but the flavours we experienced tonight were incredible. We tried to leave a tip to show our gratitude but we were chased out of the door demanding we took our money back! Cannot wait to come back. Thank you ❤️

best Chinese I've had in Bristol. Really fresh ingredients and not saturated in fat and salt which is perfect. we had the meal for 2 for £26 i thought it was really good value for money taking into account the quality and amount of food you get. We had enough for dinner and lunches he next day. Really satisfied with quality and service definitely be visiting here again.

The food was great. Vegans, make sure you ask, there's egg in rice by default. Also the prices one sees on the web are probably lunch time prices and are way lower than what I paid. But the price was still ok and the food was amazing, so I'm happy. Staff was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be eating here again.
