We've been having takeaways from Taishan every Friday for a good four years now and order their amazing dumplings as a starter. Their food is not the cheapest, but is definitely the tastiest and the best we've tasted anywhere. During lockdown when the takeway was closed it inspired my husband to have a go at making Chinese food and recently he even had a go at the dumplings with not too bad a result, though nothing on Taishan's scale. Three weeks out of four he'll have a good go; the rest of the month it's off to Taishan for a real Chinese experience!
Just hoping that after recent events Taishan's business comes out better and stronger. So sorry to hear what happened yesterday and glad that he, his family and staff are all safe. x

Brilliant! For traditional food from North China, it's amazing - one of the best in Bristol. They serve westernised-Chinese food too, but their traditional grub is better, and it's light. Recommended!

The Chinese food here is by far the best I had in Bristol. Price are reasonable. Portions are big and staff and owners are friendly and accommodating❤️

Been there 2 times now and I will never ever again take food from a different place than this! Their food is simply amazing. The chef and the lady in front even thought they dont speak perfect English are friendly and very nice. Pork with cashews in honey and pepper sauce is the best! And a side of dumpling! You will love the place remember me!

We travel from south Bristol all the way to Frenchay for this chinese and always have beef and cashew nuts. This place is amazing and the chef is very tallented and cares about what his food is like. Not your average chinese its thr best!
