Great coffee and selection of fresh cakes and sandwiches daily. Also absurdly good vegetarian sausage rolls. All of the food and the coffee is great here, among the very best that Bristol has to offer.
I’ve been a few times and staff can be a bit standoffish, often feel like I’m bothering them.

I came here for a quick bite to eat with my partner on a Sunday lunchtime. We were seated quickly at the window even though it was very busy. The service was impeccable and the staff were very friendly. We had the overnight oats with gooseberries, which had delicious dates and figs running through it, the chocolate chip coffee, and a cinnamon swirl. Our coffees were perfect too. Definitely recommend!

Popular cafe with delicious meals and good coffee selection. The place houses the Native Wines winery and a vegetable/zero waiste shop. I can really see the appeal as the place is decorated beautifully and the atmosphere is amazing.

Always good food here and a vibe. Generally it’s quite busy even on the weekdays. Definitely recommend the sandwiches and pancakes if you get the chance!

Wonderful food, in a buzzy but relaxed atmosphere! Came here for coffee and brunch, and we were blown away by the food, with our highlight being the bacon sandwich on incredible bread. Very attentive service as well!

I loved this place, the food I had was crazy delicious ( poached eggs, spinach and mushrooms on focaccia bread). Also shared a slice of cheesecake with my boyfriend, as one was enough for two. That cheesecake... gods and goddesses... You will not get any better Basque cheesecake anywhere else. Can't wait to come back and try other goodies!

Relaxed restaurant with cafe vibes selling cakes, loaves of bread, pastries and Italian groceries. After a 20 minute wait we eagerly took our seats in the leafy dining room. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the baked cheesecake. It was absolutely amazing, with a creamy and velvety texture that melted in my mouth. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and I couldn't resist going back for seconds. Another standout dish was the kimchi toastie. The combination of the tangy kimchi and the perfectly toasted bread was a match made in heaven. The bread itself was exceptional, with a great texture and flavor that elevated the entire dish. It was evident that a lot of care and attention went into crafting this toastie. I was so impressed that I purchased a mozzarella, tomato, and basil sandwich to takeaway and again it was delicious! The only drawback was the ratatouille which had a bitter taste and was disappointing.

What a lush lunch!! We came to the Bristol Loaf just for a coffee but the smiley and helpful waitress sat us down, gave us tap water and BOOM before we knew it we were ordering food. And BOY am I glad we did!! PHENOMENAL ✨🙌🏼🦋 we ordered the (lovely & yummy) vegan mushroom roll and the (fluffy & tasty) buttermilk pancakes 🥞. A pure delight on the taste buds. Flakey pastry!!!! Soft pancakes!!!! YUM. you have to come here. Both waitresses were 🤍🧚🏼♂️ so helpful and lovely. Will DEFFO be coming back and you should too ☝🏼

Best cafe/restaurant in Bristol! It’s our favourite place by a mile. The food is amazing and the staff are the best.

Just lovely! I was running errands in the area and decided to pop in quickly. The customer service was amazing. I originally wanted the buttermilk pancakes but didn’t have enough time as I had to be somewhere else. The waitress immediately recommended something similar and even brought me some of the syrup they put on the pancakes.
The interior was beautiful. It had a very earthy decoration and was done very well. I sat by the window, there wasn’t much of a view but I loved it still.
Honestly, I don’t know the name of what I had. It was some sort of croissant filled with strawberry compote but it was delicious.
I will definitely be back to try their brunch menu!
