Just scrapes the 5 stars, if it was less I'd have to mark everyone else down. Overall it really great, however I felt on some dishes it weren't amazing value, though others were very reasonably priced. I think probably one makes up for the other. For example the beef was less than I'd expect perhaps, but the potatoes were more. Yes it is more expensive than other restaurants you'll find on North Street, but it is potentially the best food too. It is suggested to order a few different dishes, they come out when they're ready, and service is excellent. Portions are relatively small, but not so much tapas small. Most of them you could feasibly share and not feel like you needed more of that dish to enjoy it. The quality of the ingredients is obviously good, and it's all put together very well. You are also paying for the great service and the experience Generally I'd recommend it. The food and service is top quality and the place itself has a nice atmosphere. Apart from potential value concerns, I'd also suggest not booking a window seat if you have a bad back or legs (or anything really), by the end on the stalls I had one leg asleep and a years worth of back pain. That said, I'd still probably go back for the food.

In my opinion this is one of the best restaurants in Bristol! Great variety of dishes also for a pescaterian like myself. Everything was spot on, delicious, fresh and exciting. I think we tried all the veggie and fish dishes they have! :)) Great service and atmosphere too. Would definitely come back!! (The only thing we didn't like was the apricot dessert, too much alcoholic flavor but it was our bad for choosing it in the first place, knowing we don't like liquor flavors...) Highly recommended!!

One of the best lunches we have had in a while - everything was SO GOOD! Service was excellent, food was amazing, and will 100% be coming back. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic experience and well worth the visit. All of the food was delicious, even the dishes that seemed simple were innovative and tasty. I was sceptical about a side of potatoes but they were as delicious as the rest of the dishes. The team looking after us was friendly and welcoming. Although a small location the cooks never seemed stressed and everything had a calm atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back here again.

This place is seriously impressive! Everything here is just right, from the warm lighting and cozy atmosphere to the perfect distance between tables. The place is busy, yet you don’t feel like you're intruding on someone's conversation. The staff is very nice and enthusiastic, and the food is absolutely brilliant! It's also good value for money. The menu focuses on seasonal ingredients, and there were a few things I didn’t quite recognize, but the waitstaff were very helpful in explaining. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful, with lovely combinations of ingredients. I absolutely loved savory canele served as a starter. We chose a random wine from the daily specials list, and it turned out to be something truly special. I couldn't recommend this place more!
