Lovely place to go for a meal. Really enjoyed the feel of the place. The service was personal and knowledge of the menu was second to none. I was not disappointed when the food arrived. We had three couses, a beautiful and a lovely Espresso Martini sat outside on the patio. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will book again

Fantastic food - really recommend. Macaroni, arancini and banana cake were highlights. Love having a choice of cheeses aswell, and staff were great.

Hidden Gem! Food was amazing and the service is excellent, highly recommend. We’ve eaten here now on a Saturday night and Sunday lunch and both have been superb👌🏼

Tucked away in a lovely old building, need to find the buzzer to get in! Lovely room with nice service. Food was very nice, and so was the wine!

Brought my husband and 5 year old son for my husbands birthday and have not been disappointed. My lamb is exactly as it should be, pink, succulent and full of flavour. All the cheese hints and use perfectly compliment the main dish. The arancini was just perfect with the right amount of cheese, so moist and the chorizo just rounded it all off. Will be back.

If you are a cheese lover, I would highly recommend a visit here. All the food is freshly prepared and flavourful. Although a little disappointed with the lack of cheese desserts, the cheesecake was light and delicious. Scored highly for food and service, but deducted one star for storing a child's highchair in the toilet (which in my opinion is unhygienic).

First visit to the Cheese Platter today, we went for 3 courses and all had different meats; Chicken, Pork and Beef. The starters were fantastic, I had the Montgomery Cheddar, apple and parsnip soup, very good and Thyme roasted chicken. We had 2 pots of Cauliflower Cheese, which was at no additional cost, and each one made with 6 different cheeses! Probably the best Cauliflower Cheese I've had. Desert I went for was the Hazelnut and chocolate delice with clotted cream ice cream, honeycomb and chocolate soil, very good. Service was very friendly and excellent. I will definitely be returning.

Wow 🤩 what a fantastic evening at The Cheese Platter! We came here this evening after my other half had been stalking their social media for weeks waiting for them to open! We both had a starter, me the Camembert and her the cheese board platter, both tasted amazing and were presented beautifully. Next, the mains. She had the wellington as a vegi option and wasn’t disappointed apparently it tasted amazing. I had the steak but was able to choose the cheese that topped it and went for the Somerset Oak-Smoked Pendragon Buffalo which was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and honestly, one of the best cooked steaks I’ve had. We managed to find a little bit of room for pudding and both had the sticky toffee pudding which again, did not disappoint. Warm, crunchy top with soft sponge with local ice cream and a butterscotch sauce. Amazing. Finally the service was second to none. The proprietor was welcoming, attentive, sociable and couldn’t do enough for us. Honestly I lovely evening with excellent food in a nice venue and absolute value for money. We will certainly be back - hopefully for a Sunday roast!
