We dined here for my birthday meal yesterday and it was wonderful.
The front of house staff provided my partner with a gluten-free menu without any fuss, and were attentive and talkative throughout.
For starters I had the soup of the day, which was carrot, orange and ginger soup. Whoever would have guessed that those ingredients would have combined together so well! 👊 My partner had the king prawns and they were cooked to perfection as well. Just be prepared to get stuck in with de-shelling them!
For main, I had a cut of steak that I had never had before - a 10oz Bavette steak, cooked rare. It was seasoned perfectly, melted in the mouth and the Stilton sauce was a balanced accompaniment. My partner had the smoked brisket and she really enjoyed it too. The mango iced parfait was also a delightful dessert 🍨
A wonderful dining experience. We'll be back if we find ourselves in the area again! ✅️
We stayed two nights in this lovely pub, where the room and en suite bathroom were really fabulous. The bed was super comfy, the feather/down duvet a pleasure, the water piping hot… breakfast was good too. Lovely garden area to sit in during the day.
Great location, great staff and good food! Nothing was too much trouble. We had a dilemma about sitting inside with two of our family being vulnerable and too cold to sit al fresco. Problem solved by a friendly member of staff offering to move us to an enclosed area with patio heaters just for our group of six to sit on our own. Made our evening to feel so valued and a great end to our holiday with a relaxed atmosphere, good service and food!
Beautiful location with views across fields from the garden. Well kept beds and wisterias climbing the pergola. Good selection of food and drink. Tastefully decorated interior. Friendly staff. Sunday menu is a little restricted, but this is common practice in the pub industry. Fairly priced. Easy drive to nearby estate gardens or the coast.
My wife and I had a very pleasant lunch. I had the Whitebait and my wife had Crayfish. Absolutely delicious. Beautiful setting. Sitting in the garden sunning ourselves. Couldn't fault it.
We went for breakfast and it was amazing. Great food cooked well, good coffee and very nice staff. It's a lovely pub, light, airy and scrupulously clean.
Had to give a five star review, as the unflappable Jason, when we arrived late after appalling traffic, enroute to a funeral, sorted our lovely food in record time. Great wine collection, lovely gardens, well presented fresh food. Top marks, thoroughly recommended.
6* review
July 23. We came for breakfast, it was very good.
March 23. Eleven of us came for a birthday breakfast, all of us agreed that it was very good. Plenty of choice on the breakfast menu. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiter, he went out of his way to be helpful.
All our food was hot, nicely presented and filling.
This is a very clean, spacious pub/restaurant. Very clean toilets and plenty of parking. A nice location, overlooking fields. Will definitely return. Recommended
My wife and I returned to The Three Horseshoes last month having enjoyed a lovely stay at the pub in July 2021. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as good this time, so we couldn’t enjoy breakfast and dinner in the beautiful garden, but the accommodation, food and service were just as good as we remembered. It really is a special pub, and one that I know we’ll be returning to time and time again.
Arrived without booking a table, but the friendly and welcoming staff managed to sort us out a table. The food and drinks were fantastic. Highly recommend 👌
