The Old Market House

Easy to book using the web - good start. Upon arrival, immediately welcomed and offered a choice of two tables - excellent. The location was spotlessly clean - so brilliant start. The let down - the menu. Greatly reduced since previous visits. The food we did order was well prepared and delicious - no problems there. The staff were professionally friendly - very good, So, please extend the menu with just a few additions and my rating will go to 5*.

Great place with a balcony we sat on looking out to sea with the yachts and fishing vessels. The scene was lovely and so was the lovely unpretentious food. The wine and beer were also excellent and the whole experience was made completely pleasant by the knowledgeable, efficient, pleasant and attentive waiter Josh. Completely Excellent !!!!!!

Holiday visit to Brixham and we reserved a table here a few weeks ago to ensure we had somewhere to eat on our second night. The place was cool inside and fairly quiet and we were seated upstairs, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Service was great and the food was very good. Only reason I have given 4 stars was because a lot of what was on the menu we were told wasn't available. Can only imagine this was because they had been so busy over the weekend.

Sat upstairs on the terrace on a lovely sunny Saturday for drinks and something light to eat. We chose six of the small plates which were all cooked beautifully. Chicken strips, Duck Gyoza, Bang Bang Fish Goujons, Mac 'n' Cherse Bites, Greek Salad, and loaded fries with pulled pork 😋 Absolutely delicious. Not only would I recommend the restaurant, food, and view, but also the staff, especially Dean who goes above and beyond! He was incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming with a fab sense of humour. So Dean, a big shout out to you for keeping us entertained the entire time, and creating a great atmosphere. You are a real credit to the place!
