Had the Brixham hake and chips while on holiday in the area. It was genuinely the nicest fish n chips I have ever had. The chips were tasty but it was the fish that stood out. It was cooked to perfection and the batter was so light I could finish the whole lot (this is unusual for me)! I will definitely be back if in the area.

I met some workers from the chip shop in lidil, and I asked as I became dissatisfied with my usual chip shop mariners in Paignton, this is the best David's is very good aswell but yeah I can see why this gets the reviews it does, shame on the chip shops in the rest of the bay that you have to go to Brixham to get decent fish and chips done correctly.
