Crusoe's Restaurant

Crusoes is a firm favourite of ours, we regularly enjoy the view over the harbour with a nice bottle of wine and a beautiful, high quality fillet steak, cooked on hot rocks so that you can take your time and soak up the view. The home cut chips are so moreish. Gill the waitress and Gary the chef are so friendly and ensure you have a lovely evening without being in any way intrusive. Thoroughly recommend. We would try some of the lovely looking seafood on the menu but it’s difficult to not order a fillet steak when they are so good and great value.

We visited twice during our week's holiday in Brixham and absolutely loved Cruscoe's. The food was delicious, all freshly cooked to order. We tried Dover Sole, steaks that we cooked ourselves on the volcanic rocks 🪨 the halloumi skewer (highly recommended), mussels, meatballs, crab and prawn linguine and hake with meatballs. We would all recommended a meal here 😋

Amazing!!! We wanted to experience fresh seafood whilst on holiday. There were four of us, 2 fish lovers, 1 non-fish lover and a vegetarian. The fish lovers were bowled over by the scallops, muscles and hake/cod. It was so fresh so the dish was substituted with whatever fish was caught that day. Our non-fish lover had the steak which was cooked perfectly on the volcanic plate and the veggie loved his halloumi skewer. The food was even served by the chef and was to die for. We loved every bite and the service was amazing. I’m on a low fodmap diet and because everything is cooked fresh, my difficulty with certain ingredients was no problem at all. THANK YOU!!j

Hands down the best meal we had in Brixham. Perfect end to our week. The hot rock steaks are incredible. There was 11 of us who all had different meals and every single one was absolutely amazing. They are so accommodating and went out of their way to ensure we had a perfect evening, especially great with the kids. Restaurant itself is gorgeous inside, with view of the harbour and Mediterranean vibes. Definitely a hidden gem! Thanks so much Jules and the fabulous chef who looked after us!

Hidden gem of a quality restraurant, not to be missed! The quality of food and presentation is exceptional. We had Dover Sole, served with me potatoes, and fresh steamed veg (broccoli, mange tout, green beans) & Monk Fish (served with twice cooked chips & asparagus). The waitress is very friendly and the chef also came out and spoke. Also dog friendly. Don't miss this place in your brixham visit!
