Dropped in for drink and then decided to have an early dinner. Steak was good, pity there was no french mustard available. Wife's Plaice was a little too salty for her taste, but the Crème Brulee was a 'hit' so overall ,a nice dinner. Barmen and waitress certainly on the ball and very friendly. Also between 6-7.30pm not at all crowded along with prompt service. A good find.

The beef is one of the best I have tasted. Pretty view from upstairs near the window has a good view of the beach. The food is made really quickly for us so It’s nice for dinner.

Walked in and was lucky enough to get a front table with the sea view - ordered food and drinks at the bar. I had the burger, Mr the ham, egg and chips. The ham was decent ham and lots of it, 2 fried eggs and chunky chips - he enjoyed it. My burger was lovely, skin on fries and a homemade slaw. Reasonably priced, nice staff and decor. Will definitely go back there.

A great pub on the sea front at Broadstairs. Paid a visit on a weekday lunchtime. Good choice of beers etc. Friendly staff. New bar food menu printed off every day. I tried the fish and chips lite bite version (as it was lunchtime) and it was very tasty.

Stopped in to have a brief rest from walking around the town and beach. Neutral decor but superbly clean. The service was wonderfully polite and quick despite several people needing serving. Probably the best poured pint of Guinness I've had in ages. Well worth a pit stop if your nearby and more than comfortable for a longer stay. Thank you for a wonderful pit stop

First visit today. Folk week has started and the staff were clearly rushed off their feet, yet all happy, smiling, friendly, and never made us feel rushed. Service was quick and efficient, the food was just wow - best roast I've had in a while, and the lemon creme brulee was beautiful - and the restaurant was clean and tidy. Really happy, highly recommend, and will definitely be back!

New chef - food is amazing! We had tried the Charles Dickens twice (due to great location and views over the sea) but food was not great. We tried again when we heard there was a new chef, and the experience was a different level! We have now been 3 times. The first time we had simple fresh starters, with a fragrant tomato salad and perfectly prepared calamari, and then the pork belly and the lamb, both of which were delicious, with the lamb the best I have ever tasted! We then tried a Sunday lunch which went down well with our larger group as there was other food rather than Sunday roasts on offer. Again the food was well prepared and tasty and all 7 of us (who love our food) had something different and really enjoyed our meals, including a good selection of desserts. The 3rd visit was for the fruits de mer which included oysters, fresh king prawns, anchovies, mussels and battered crab, served with a simple mixed salad with tasty dressing, and chunky chips. Twice we sat in a window seat with beautiful views across the bay and we were even able to watch the Broadstairs fireworks outside from the balcony. All 3 times the service has been excellent. The new chef has definitely changed the experience at this place for the better, and we will certainly eat there again! Thank you .

They serve a good full English breakfast here. Nice sea view. Free newspapers. A Thanet tavern.

First time visit and I'm kicking myself... Been missing out on a quality spot in Broadstairs. Price about normal not cheap but not OTT. Location amazing. Tasty starters (calamari was probs on the ever so slightly bland side) but the tiger prawns in Nduja butter were magnificent. Very well priced and generous seafood platter and a top notch Sunday roast. Washed down with a Beavertown Neck Oil.
