Staples offer a delicious range of home cooked pastries and cakes as well as an excellent latte! The service is first class and the ambience comparable with the food choice, village location and customer profile. Well worth the walk from the beach to check out.

Great local coffee shop. Cakes are very good. Probably a little on the expensive side but good quality. Wish they were open a bit more, limited hours and only open certain days (maybe there isn’t the demand). Staff are very friendly.

Tucked away on a residential street is this gem of a coffee shop. It has plenty of seating inside, space for bikes out front and the most delicious coffee, cakes and sandwiches.

When I lived in Westgate I used to go and get the almond croissants and generally really delicious pastries. When I moved away from Westgate, it was definitely something I missed so I'm so pleased to have Staple around the corner again. The pastries are all very delicious, the coffee is superb and the atmosphere is always really friendly. The shop always feels really bright and welcoming. This place is almost an asset to the community I'd say in terms of how everyone seems to interact with each other. It's just really nice. Definitely the easiest 5 star place to review in the area.
Keep doing what you are all doing, Staple. It's fantastic.

Incredible place, fantastic service, beautiful breads, amazing sweets and if you haven’t had a “cruffin” (a croissant baked in a muffin tin, filled with creme pate), go treat yourself! Best thing since Staples sourdough (also incredible).
The locals have discovered this place and are already big fans, in my the brief visit to St Peters a small village near Broadstairs, it was clear to see that this special little place is already a firm favourite with the local community.
All of the breads, cakes and sweets are made on site and Steve the baker and owner found time to say hello to us.
I took my mother (local-ish), and partner. We had the cheese and chutney sandwich x2 (homemade onion chutney was superb), BLT, then cruffin, lemon drizzle (fantastic) and a custard tart.
My mother who claims to be an expert in custard tarts said this is the best custard tart she’s ever eaten! My partner who has a sweet tooth said the cruffin is a revelation (new favourite) and I know my way around a slice of bread and have to say the sourdough is fantastic!
The coffee is also very good!
I can’t give more than 5 stars but if I could I would!
What a find, this place is a gem, a must visit for locals and visitors!

This dream couple are every chefs dream. He makes the best sourdough in the UK (fact) They work so hard to make the best products and it shows. I can also say that the pastries/cookies/sausage rolls are next level.
