I’ve been visiting for years but their new refit is fantastic. It looks fresh, the seating areas are thought out and comfortable. The outdoor area is spacious and well-lit. I love the big green area between the seating area and a horse paddock - it kept my kids very well entertained. The food has really been upgraded from good pub food to the next level. I plan to visit a lot more to try out their pizza night and more dishes from their improved menu. The service we received was great, the chap had a fun personality and couldn’t do more to make sure we had a good meal. Highly recommend.

End of summer hols treat - we visited here on a Thursday lunchtime. It was quiet so we had plenty of choice of places to sit - we opted for indoors. The decor is modern with a traditional twist - really lovely. Good choice of gins - I opted for a Berkshire Rhubarb & Raspberry. We ordered our meal and the starters arrived quickly. There was a mix up with our main course - but it was sorted quickly. Food was lovely and we would definitely visit again.

Sunday lunch for 15 to celebrate my parents' 62 wedding anniversary. Our family included 3 small children, 2 vegetarians, and 3 vegans. Everyone was looked after and loved their food. My choice was the beef and it was the best roast beef I've had anywhere, it could not have been more tender. For any vegetarians reading this, my brother-in-law really loved the cauliflower "steak".

Would have given 6 stars for food, best Sunday roast I've had in a long time. The staff are friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend a visit. We went to eat so cannot comment on the rooms.

It's been a long while since we all sat round the table here and sadly said "never again". However I'm so glad we decided to revisit after the refurb and revamp. Four of us just had Sunday lunch and it was amazing !!. The staff were attentive and courteous without being overbearing (perfect) and the whole place now looks so much more inviting and hospitable. Excellent experience all round we will definitely revisit soon. 10/10

We booked the plough for a family birthday meal. I’m horrendously unorganised and forgot to put in two of our parties pre selected menus. The staff were so accommodating and chilled, it was not an issue at all and they couldn’t do enough the ensure the night was perfect for us. We had children in the party, the staff were so chatty to them which is always so refreshing, warm and welcoming. The food here is amazing, we were blown away by the quality and service, The best meal out we have had in such a long time and we pride ourselves as gastro pub frequenters! The steaks were superb, and the amounts on our plate were unbelievably generous. I can not recommend this place enough, the work done in the garden allows you to appreciate the beautiful views. Looking forward to coming back for a Thursday steak night! Thank you x

The Plough has recently changed hands. The new owner has done an excellent job referbishing the place, it is fresh and inviting. The food is extremely good quality and lovely, as is the menu. We had a brilliant meal. The landlord is also a great host. Highly recommended.

Last night we went to The Hundon Plough which has been revamped. It was nice to see it in all its glory. It is out the way, but very easy to get there. All the different rooms had been revamped also. It was a pleasant experience. Next time we go there, we are going for something to eat. It was well worth going after all this time. See you there! 👌

Horrible scary country roads to get there, but what a gorgeous bar/restaurant! Staff were pleasant and helpful, very attentive and the decor was beautiful. Food was spot on, tasty and well presented. Would recommend if you have a decent budget.

Went here for dinner, 4 people and bill was just under £200. The food was very good and service was very good. Drinks are extremely expensive here with beers over £6 a pint and cheapest wine was £8 for a large glass. The issue we had was when the bill came they had added 10% service charge without any warning. We always tip good service but do not like being pushed into it. This added just under £20 to our bill, its a shame as this ruined the experience.
