Cant fault the food! Loved it! But not the friendliest staff, a small lady with a bob cut perm, not sure if she was the manager, but her manerisms made out she may be, she was extremely miserable and didn't give us (or anyone else) the friendliest welcome, she definitely hate her job! Almost felt bad for eating!

Good- Friendly staff, hot food, quite tidy considering that they were so busy. Only negatives were my drinks glass was very hot because just out of dish washer so maybe they need more glasses to avoid this during busy periods. The pasta on veg section is weird choice in my opinion. Pasta with a roast ? Also would like to see another veg option eg Cabbage/parsnips/swede all seasonal. We did had carrots, cauliflower, green beans, peas.

Gill was our waitress, she was lovely. 2 of our party had been held up, but we ordered drinks, we thought we may have to start before they arrived, but Gill said it was okay to wait. Carvery was excellent, nicely cooked meat. Range of veg was excellent, Mac and cheese too! Roast potatoes were perfect! Puddings were all tasty, I had the aero mint balls with ice-cream in a Yorkshire pudding 😲 - it was so nice! Will definitely have that again. Gill was amazing, so helpful and nothing was too much trouble - with 11 of us to deal with, she had the patience of a saint!

The carvery was obviously going to be busy as it was Sunday however, for a very long period there was only one woman’s slicing the meat and that held the queues up quite a bit. Eventually the other two guys came and joined her and then she left it seems they were very shortstaffed, I was very very disappointed that the large plates were off the menu and we could only have a standard plate. However, when we were finally served, the meat was very delicious and nice and veg of good quality. The gravy I wasn’t very keen on it tasted very oily and weak. The waitresses were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. It was very very busy in there so I can understand but all in all not a bad visit.

Came here for lunch on Thursday afternoon on my day off, not been for 8 years as I only migrated back recently. Special thanks to the lovely Asian host lady who despite being really busy was able to look everyone including myself , she is efficient and friendly. Will defo come again with family in future. Great value on weekdays. 8.99 for standard size with a desert or starter ! Highly recommended place, good British vibes and a friendly welcoming atmosphere for all.

Came for roast dinner last night, with my husband and child. Was welcome by this lovely waitress Sharon, she was so attentive to our food requirements needs. She was particularly good with my daughter, who was a bit moody by Sharon got her to smile and eat her greens. I would definetly come back here again.
