Nick's Cafe

Travelling and wanted a decent breakfast after getting into Bromley at almost midnight last night. Found Nicks and the wonderful reviews and decided to give it a go. They make the softest eggs I've ever had, and I usually don't order eggs at breakfast places because of the tendency to turn into rubber. Everything was beautifully cooked.

Having been a regular having breakfast/ lunch here around 3-4 times a week for the last few years, the service and quality of food I experienced was shocking. The waiter ignored me and took forever to take my order, and then it seems my food was given to another customer as it took 35 minutes to come. By which time I had 5 mins of my lunch break left to eat as much as I can and to run. The waiters reaction to me asking where my food was was a shrug of the shoulders. 3 people who entered after I had ordered were all eating similar food to mine before mine had arrived. It was obvious they realised the mistake and rushed to cook it, tasted awful and not cooked properly which I have never experienced here before. When it came to paying the same waiter didn’t offer any apology. Not how I expect anyone to be treated, especially a regular. Mistakes happen but own them and make up for it.
