Amazing food, Good Ambiance, excellent Service
We dined at this place recently and quite impressed with everything really. Very polite and smiling staff, good music, catchy interiors, tasty food. Things we ate - Salted Lassi, Samosa Chat, Chilly Fish, Masala Dosa (Sambar was very tasty), Madras chicken curry, Parota, Gulabjam + Ice-cream.
Would have enjoyed more with some Tamil songs in the background.
Also liked the notice they have about eating Indian food with hands - Good job in promoting Indian roots guys, well done.
Had a lovely South Indian dinner at madras accent. Lovely ambience and cordial staff. It’s on the red route so parked on the right side lane. Idlis were the highlight of the dinner and dosa made in ghee was super yum. The only disappointment was dessert i.e. Gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream. Gulab jamun was completely dipped in sugar syrup and ice cream was bad in taste. May be we should have just avoided ordering dessert.
I know everyone says this but I genuinely never write reviews. But I felt it would be a crime if I didn't write a review for this little restaurant!
The food is absolutely outstanding! I had a chicken madras and it is without a shadow of a doubt the best curry I've ever eaten. And I've eaten a lot of them in my 40 years. Our starters were absolutely delicious!
The service was wonderful, and very prompt, we were eating about ten minutes after sitting down and the girl serving us was attentive and polite! She even told us a little background of where the recipes came from.
How this place doesn't have a line going out of it down to Waitrose is beyond me! Come and eat at Madras Accent, you will not regret it I promise!
