An all age muilti dog family lunch yesterday (25th March), could not have been better looked after.. The food was fresh, home made and first rate, all meat and veg sourced locally. One of our party was a bit rocky, so was offered poached egg on toast, and it was superb! Beer garden, sunshine, excellent staff, oh and Morretti on draught, ice cold. Who said heaven can wait.
A lovely well run village pub. Good range of ales and lagers. I always pay a visit when I’m in the area.
Great pub, excellent atmosphere. Beers good too!
Poped in on my travels. Very warm welcome. Excellent real ale.may I surgest the copper dragon.well kept. I had one of the home made burgers. This is what a beef burger should taste like. In all great experience and locals up for a chat. Staff were polite and very helpful. Good job team.
We were kindly allowed to park our Motorhome in The Green Tree car park. The landlord and lady were very welcoming. He hooked us up to the electricity for a modest £5..well worth it for us 😀
Had some lovely food..they had a reduced menu due to Covid..mostly burgers..but a couple of other choices and a Special of a Chicken Curry
Spent a nice evening in quite a busy little pub with a lovely atmosphere
Thanks Karen & Steve Bellinger
Great little pub, new owners are clearly very proud of their business. Great selection of drinks, even better prices, lovely beer garden and very accommodating of dogs! Didn't try the food but it looked amazing so I'll be going back soon for that!
Dropped in for a pint ended up having a burger too. Homemade, basic fresh salad in the bun and a selection of sauces. Good prices, nice pint of Amstel. Garden is dog friendly. Will go back!
Lovely pub with really nice home cooked food at reasonable prices. We stayed in our motor home overnight in the car park. Landlord and landlady very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.
First time in the Green Tree for us,definitely won't be the last! Lovely old world atmosphere, clean tidy kitchen, (I like to sit where I can see the kitchen) Lovely couple running the place couldn't do enough for us.Friendly, chatty, polite, saw that we had every thing we needed with our meal which was delicious. All home made, I had lasagne, peas and chips and bread and butter pudding with double cream. Not too long a wait for it, lovely cuppa in the mean time, all served hot, chips best I've had in a while, peas sweet, lasagne gorgeous, but the pudding was to die for! I've never tasted anything like it. Don't know how she did it but if I hadn't been in a public place I would have licked the bowl as well as scraping my dinner plate! Definitely, definitely going back there. The new managers are doing a great job! :D
The landlady went above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly pub with a great atmosphere. It has a real fire to so what more can you need. We will certainly visit again.
Great beer to have here. The food was brilliant, The bar staff are wonderful and very friendly. Can't fault and highly recommended!
