Delightful Desserts

This evening we took the kids out for a family dinner, and to add to the easter holiday treat, instead of staying and having dessert at the restaurant we thought we would take advantage of the fact this is their favourite and open late with last orders for take away at 945. We arrived at just gone 9.15 to be told they were cashing up and last orders were 915 and we couldnt order anything even though all the ice cream was still out. We offered to pay the exact monies but they flatly said no. We pointed out the hours on the door but still they were not willing to offer anything. The kids were gutted.

Walked in and there was no other customers In the shop, this should of alerted alarm bells as it was 50% off, the place should of been packed. When ordering they had barely anything in stock, when we did finally find something they bought them out at different times so my daughter had nearly finished hers before I had even started mine. The cookie dough was hard, the waffle was cold. The drinks never arrived, the waitress informed us that they had no ice for the slushies and someone had gone to buy some, when they finally returned and gave us our drinks, they then Informed us they had no straws for the slushies and we had to wait for someone to go and buy them too. They offered us 2 complimentary drinks, but I won't be returning.

Given this place a couple of chances and been disappointed both times. The staff don't seem to care about the customers and are only interested in going home as quickly as possible. Walked in around 9.20-9.25 to be told that only part of the menu was available as all the machines had been turned off (no waffles or crepes etc) and they couldn't except cash as they had already cashed the tills up. Surly things like this should only be done after the shop has closed at 10?? The 2 girls in the store seemed to view us as an inconvenience and just wanted us out of the store. Ended up ordering ice creams as not much else was available only to be told they didn't even have cream to top the sundae off. The food itself was distinctly average and not worth the money. Safe to say I won't be going back

Popped in at 3.30pm on a Saturday. Cafe was about half full, although the rest of the tables were covered in dirty plates. My son was excited so we waited to be seated! After being ignored I asked if we just had to find a clear table. I was abruptly told there was a 45m wait! All they serve is waffle based deserts and I cream! I could go to a pub for 3 course dinner in that time! I thought the other reviews must be unlucky! Looks like the norm! Shame as a nice idea! Went to another cafe down the road and had coffee and cake in less than 5 minutes.

Cappuccino was just instant coffee with chocolate sprinkles. Crepe was chewy and tough to cut with a knife. They didn't have any bananas but didn't tell me till they had made it. The tables were all wonky. The staff were not very friendly. Apart from that it was fine - not. Wouldn't go again or recommend. Notice they have more bad reviews than good. Wish I'd have checked that before going.

Opens at 3pm, so turned up at 3.30pm. Just entered the shop when two members of staff SHOUT that they are closed as they are having to put the deliveries away (Health & Safety). Will not be serving for half an hour. I think you need to sort your delivery schedule, and have your staff be a bit more welcoming. Nothing "Delightful" about today's visit, and judging by how 'grubby' the place looked, I dont even think i will try another visit - Bromsgrove is not short of alternative cafes

We went as a family of four at my daughter's request for her birthday. Overpriced for very basic desserts that are simply dressed up. The staff were okay but seemed fairly disnterested. The menus were sticky and not clean. There was no-one else in there (not surprised) and the desserts still came two at a time with a short wait in-between. I would have given 1 star, except my daughter enjoyed the visit but she likes cheap sugary rubbish! Will definitely not return and would not recommend it to anyone.

Shame I had to give it one star. We just spent £20 for 4 desserts. The crepe was cold, we were told they cool down when they take them out !! . It was sat on the side for 10 minutes !! The crumble arrived 15 minutes later when everyone else had eaten. Would not recommend and definitely wont be returning.
