Dog-friendly but a little expensive. However, the food was worth that extra expense even if you take away that dog-friendly aspect. What a meal! Beautiful food, beautiful and friendly atmosphere - and, if you are a cider lover as I myself am, there's a cider there by the name of 'Robinsons' (yes, like the squash) which was smooth, really tasted of apples and, all-in-all, the best cider I've tasted for a long, long time!
Our fave place to eat which also happens to be in walking distance, so we can both drink! Win win!! Simon is an excellent chef and everyone are friendly and accommodating...handy for fussy people like me haha. Will be back soon. Xxx
This is a gem of a place for a meal. Food is amazing no matter what you try. Been back twice now in one week and hoping to go again. Home made burgers, wonderful steak pie with beautiful pastry and chips to die for. How this is not fully booked every night I don’t know. Dog friendly as well so we will be back again
Enjoyed some really good pub food here with my family. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, excellent selection of drinks available, and great service. Made for a really lovely evening. Thank you
Food was 200%
The waiting staff were 200%
The locals were a bit starey, possibly not used to seeing non herefordians.
Will definitely go again though.
Prices were not massively expensive, but were fully justified anyway.
No atmosphere really, sticky tables in lounge, nice steak but plates and serving dishes only just warm.😒
Food very good our first visit we will go back ,dog friendly.
Incredible food, and wonderful staff. Requires booking during busy periods!
A ripper little pub. Great service, great pub fare til late. Couldn’t recommend enough!
What a lovely little Pub!
It's something we don't come across too often any more.... Proper home cooked food and plenty of it. Ten of us had a lovely meal there last night
and the food was delicious, we had three dogs with us who were also welcomed in. We had a couple of odd meal requests which they were happy to oblige us with.
Overall a very pleasant evening and we would happily return to sample more of their lovely menu.
Been to this lovely little country pub a few times and I am yet to be disappointed. There are plenty of choices on the menu and the staff are very accommodating if say you want to have a starter as a main or slightly adjust thingd. The food has been always been well presented, hot and plenty of it and reasonably priced. The plough platter is definitely something to recommend with its Cajun chicken strips, breaded brie wedges and the ploughs amazing pulled pork Mac & cheese 🤤 hand cut chips are also some of the best I have ever had it's a great pub with proper homely food. Good selection of puds including the chocolate fudge sundae which I can personally say I have had a few now.
Great home cooked pub food in a traditional pub setting with table service. Portion size was good for all three courses. Starters were yummy - try the nachos or if you're hungry The Plough Platter as a starter. The mac and cheese is also popular. Fish pie came with loads of fresh veg, and the halloumi burger was tasty. A range a homemade deserts, cheesecake, strawberry blizzard, Crème Brûlée... all were great. There are dining areas in the bar and restaurant, plus it looked like another bar with a pool table/games room. The car park is quite small, as for most traditional pubs but was OK for us as we got there early. We would definitely visit again.
