Completely changed my perception, live within sight of it, but had never visited. Excellent pub, all you could ask for, all the rural characters at the bar, excellent atmosphere, attentive and hard-working landlord and staff, plus excellent food. An authentic country pub, and clearly neutral ground in sectarian terms.

I booked a table at The Halfway House near Broughshane for Mother’s Day. I requested in advance a table with easy access for my Mother’s wheelchair. From the point we arrived until the moment we left, the management and staff at The Halfway House couldn’t have done enough for us.
As it was Mothers Day, my Mum was offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco upon arrival. Our food came to our table piping hot, freshly cooked and well presented; all the staff made sure we had everything we needed.
In my opinion The Halfway House just outside Broughshane is a “hidden gem”. Other local bars and restaurants should book a table sometime soon, go and sit watch, taste and learn how a bar/restaurant is properly managed and experience how genuine customer service works. I cannot rate this place high enough, well worth a visit.
