Costa Coffee

The way the cafe has been re-designed over the Covid times has made it look/ feel WORSE than a train station place: no more comfort, some dim lights, loads of cold drafts. The only good thing is the way the counter is: longer, practical for staff and pleasant to look at . The rest if the room is awfully designed. Nothing to do with the staff, they are always pleasant.

I love going to this costa, the staff are always so nice... even when a customer moans at them for no reason they still keep a smile on their face. I witnessed a man kicking off at a staff member years ago and she hadn't done anything, it was busy and she still kept a smile on her face and the staff were getting hot and bothered. I used my receipt to write a little message to the staff and gave it to the girl who the customer kicked off at and all the staff appreciated it... unknown to me they put it up on the wall, I spotted it a few weeks later and it made me smile, it's still there to this day giving the staff the smile they deserve.

Good staff, typical costa food we’ve grown to know and love! Close by to the Broughton shopping centre toilets which are some of the best in any shopping centre I’ve been to. The only negative is the fact sometimes it’s closed hours before it’s meant to be closed, the door used to say it closed at 19:00 but it was closed sometimes before 17:00, possibly short staffed? Maps now says it closes at 17:00 so maybe they’ve changed their closing times and solved it.
