Fantastic meal in a charming space in a beautiful village. Matt and his assistant were very welcoming and the dinner was superb. The courses sat really well together and made imaginative use of flavour and texture. And it’s BYOB with no corkage. No downsides at all. We had a lovely evening. Do go!

Matt’s kitchen is an eclectic, eccentric, and totally wonderful dining experience. The warm welcome and exceptional personal service makes the whole experience relaxing and inviting. And the food… it’s well thought out and planned with exquisite textures and favours. We’ve eaten at a few Michelin starred restaurants and Matt’s cooking and presentation is up there with them!

A meal for the connoisseur.
This is one of those restaurants that you will talk about for years to come. We could easily run out of superlatives. The food was divine, tweaked slightly for myself, of sensible healthy sized portions. It was one of those rare meals you don't want to finish as it an explosion of texture and taste. Our taste buds had not experienced anything like that before or since. Matt is a wonderful host, he serves you directly and explains the dish and and ably supported by two young waitress. A meal for the connoisseur.

We went to Matt's kitchen for our wedding anniversary and the food was outstanding honestly some of the best food I have ever eaten. Matt is a genuinely nice guy who explained each dish. I can't wait for another reason to go again...

Can't recommend highly enough. We've been luck to eat some amazing food in some amazing places. Matt's Kitchen is right up there. Great set menu, attentive service and awesome food all presented in a quirky (in a good way) genuinely unique restaurant. Bring a bottle, get comfy and enjoy... Can't wait to go back 👍

Took my girlfriend for a birthday meal and we were wowed by the place. The ambience when you walk is very cosy as you're greeted by Matt. He talks you through the dishes on the set menu as they're served, all of which were delicious. Can't wait to visit again soon! Booking is a must, it was a full house.

Lovely dinner in a really relaxed venue with such friendly service - Matt has created something really special here. Great value for a really high quality of food, particularly when it’s byob!

Great food, friendly chef, simple concept. Sit in the quirky dining room in Matt's house and enjoy a fixed menu. Bring your own wine, and sparkling water. We had a lovely fermented turmeric hummus atop some toast. Boqurones on toast. A lump of fine local cheddar. A chilled cucumber consomme. Then for main Indonesian chicken and giant couscous (fregola). Dessert was a dark chocolate bomb and a summer berries ice cream.
