What a Gem!! We visited this cute unpretentious little restaurant because we had been let down by another restaurant up the road who could not provide a vegan meal despite having taken the booking three days earlier stating one of our party was a vegan! So we had limited time left on our parking. Nothing was too much trouble for The Hive, they produced a beautiful tasty vegan meal for us & I had lovely smoked salmon with two of the best poached eggs I have ever eaten. If we had time we would have tasted their vegan chocolate & banana cake.. They totally understood our dietary requirements without any fuss. The service was with a smile & nothing was too much trouble ... I am definitely going back to try some of the other food on offer - Simple well cook food, great price point .. Super service ... What more could you want?

Visiting Brunton to view a property, we booked lunch at Hive. We were greeted by the friendly owner of this family business. We chose the Shakshuka and Huevos Rancheros. Both were delicious, a real home cooked taste, full of flavour. The Sourdough flatbread was so fresh and just the right amount of bread for this meal. We chatted to learn more about the area and took note of a couple of local attractions including an art gallery and farm shop. A great place to eat and chill. Drop in for a cuppa or a bite….. all are welcome.

Absolutely amazing little cafe. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff. We went in and wanted to confirm the vegan options on the menu. 2 of the staff members came and talked me through everything in detail - which dishes were vegan and which things could be substituted out to make them vegan on other dishes. I have never seen service like this ever before, I was extremely impressed. I had the Korean fried cauliflower and vegan nacho cheese with rainbow slaw. Very tasty! I will 100% be visiting again.

Today was Our first experience of eating at The Hive since it opened and we took our friends there for Sunday brunch. We couldn’t have been more impressed. The service was excellent and the food delicious and such good value for money. We tried a variety of meals from the menu and specials board and each were tasty, filling and beautifully presented. We will definitely return in the near future.
