Stupendous meal last night with family at The Field Kitchen. Such delicious food. When we take 'new' people they're always worried about the sharing platters and whether they'll be enough plus worry g about sharing a table with strangers - masses of good and fun to chat to strangers! Delicious range of salads to start with yummy bread; the Beef was so tasty but the vegan and vegetarian options on our table yummy too. All the sides were gluten-, sugar-, and dairy-free which made it easy for everyone. The choice of puddings just unbelievable and so gorgeous. The restaurant looks love,y with all the dried flowers and vegetables and the staff attentive, friendly - the jugs of iced water just kept coming! Highly recommended but it's reservations only.

We've just had the most amazing Christmas lunch at Riverford Field Kitchen. The food was plentiful, the hosts warm and attentive and puddings, well, the puddings! Thank you so much for your hospitality and the best brussels I've ever eaten!

Extremely interesting restaurant concept serving fresh seasonal local produce in semi-farm setting, seating guests on shared tables where diners then share food platters that are brought out from the kitchens. We had a wonderful meal over the Christmas period in a convivial atmosphere getting to meet and chat with new people seated next to us. The winter salads were ultra fresh as to be expected from the affiliated farm and adventurous in contents and flavoursome to boot. Roast lamb served pre-carved on a platter was good, perhaps a little over for me, but fine for the table and plenty of different veg for variety. A large number of puddings were available to choose from with the sticky toffee pudding and cheese cake proving most popular. A must-go restaurant venue for any foodies in this part of Devon, an easy recommendation.

Finally a place that serves interesting vegetarian food. You can tell by how good the food tastes that the ingredients are top quality. Beautiful, unadulterated, fresh food! Hats off to the chef for being so creative with the veg.

We visited Riverford Field Kitchen for Sunday Lunch and it was beautiful. We sat outside and enjoyed being surrounded by nature. The food was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to visit again!. The vegetables are organically grown by Riverford and are the stars of the meal!. Service is tops too!. What a beautiful experience!!.

Best restaurant experience ever. As fans of riverford it was amazing to be able to visit and eat here. it was around £35 per person (excluding drinks) and included 4 starters to share, a mains each and a dessert each so very good value. The ethos and service is lovely with pillows and blankets provided for outdoor seating and you can come a little earlier to walk around the gardens where all the ingredients are grown.

Gorgeous experience. Delicious food and drinks. Perhaps not the biggest or filling of portions (more lighter dishes that aren't so carb heavy). Very enjoyable evening and attentive service, lovely setting- well worth a visit.

Truly incredible meal with wonderful wait staff. The room has a nice ambience, the high ceilings, wooden textures and dried flowers make it large but cosy. Highly recommended!

Difficult to find since it is lost in the web of single track roads. There is no choice in the menu. You either eat it or not. In addition there is only one sitting at 7pm so by 9.15pm the restaurant is empty. Food reminded me of the sort of thing we used to cook as students and of course it’s all seasonal food grown locally. The only flavours are the natural flavours of the base food. It’s all very sloshy and a bit like the Ryanair of restaurants. Having said all that there wasn’t a spare table in the restaurant on a Wednesday night so it’s obviously popular with the locals. Given the above price of £52 per head was a bit steep considering we only had one bottle of wine between 6 people.

It's been a long-held ambition of ours to visit and having finally booked a table it really did not disappoint. A lovely selection of veg-centric dishes, great atmosphere and melt in your mouth desserts. Plus the chance to look around the polytunnel where much of the food is grown. A thoroughly enjoyable visit.
