The Garage Restaurant & Wine Bar

We visited a year ago, and came back this year and it was even better. 12 if us accommodated easily when we pre-booked Sunday lunch. Plenty of room around the table and comfortable seats. We had the shared platters, which came in metal dishes which you delved into. The group had the lamb, pork, beef and chicken. All were superb. Many round the table said it was the best Sunday lunch they had had locally. Massive Yorkshire, carrots, beans, roast potatoes, parsnip, sugar snaps, cauliflower cheese, and gravy. Few if us could fit in desserts, but those that did had them presented very well. A couple of minor tweaks - an alcohol free cocktail menu with the alcohol one would be good, and ingredients for all the cocktails. However, these were minor things. All round, a fabulous lunch.

First visit to Buckingham so local friends took us here as is their regular spot to eat. We were highly impressed with both menu and extensive drinks list. Was rather busy so the wait to be seated and receive our food after ordering was acceptable. Food is to die for. Seafood very fresh and not overcooked, plates and meals hot and presented beautifully. Portion sizes were excellent for the price, more than enough. Staff very friendly, I'm unsure if there were only two taking care of all tables but done an extremely good job if that was the case. Atmosphere, experience and food 10/10. Would love to visit again if we were able too.

Fantastic venue with great food and cocktails they also have an impressive selection of artisan gins and wines to suit all tastes and pockets. The staff are friendly and professional The building is a former chapel that has been a school and then a garage and then fell derelict. The owners have renovated the building retaining all of the classic features. This makes it a lovely dining or just chilling with friends area. The keywords in my opinon are :quality, service, ambiance.

What a great find, on our way back home we decided to lunch in Buckingham and found the Garage. What a find! Great place and the food is fantastic. We plumped for the prix fixe lunch menu and were not disappointed with any of the choices (problem is the gnocchi is so good I may never opt for anything else on our next visit). At risk of not being able to get in next time I would highly recommend.
