We visited this awesome restaurant today along with my cousin and his wife. We had been in communication with La Campagna for a few days after we asked if the Sunday roast came with parsnips (I am allergic to parsnips!! I know right...!!). From the first email - they have been so very helpful and even reserved two Beef Sunday lunches for us. When we arrived the car park was full and we had to park up the hill and to the side, I didn't spot any disabled spaces, but if they had been there, they surely were in use. We were warmly greeted at the door and shown to our table, drinks orders were taken while we awaited the arrival of my cousin. The food arrived soon after ordering and oh my!! It looked amazing, such thick cuts of meat, and the carrots were simply melting in the mouth. I exchanged some cauliflower cheese (not my thing) with my wife for a potato - I do love my potatoes as I'm sure you'll be aware by now, oh and the Yorkshire pudding was delicious, crunchy top, and a nice light bottom, full of batter flavor. It was probably the best Sunday roast I had eaten in ages. Then came dessert - I ordered the Rhubarb and apple crumble and when it arrived, it looked almost too good to eat (almost). Such a crunchy crumble top and the fruit beneath was so hot and juicy. Having never visited before, I can honestly say that it was a most enjoyable experience and one I hope to repeat many more times. The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us from the moment we entered to the moment we left - Thank you so much.
