For the price and food quality value proposition it’s great. My reference point is the old Chinese (now closed) where we live up north and this place in Bude was busy with plenty of punters. Tasty grub and inexpensive at around £10 for main plus rice.

Chungs is the best Chinese take away! By any standards. I have ordered from here a few times and with multiple people from all over and we have all been thoroughly impressed. All the dishes taste delicious and very different in flavours. Also things like the sweet & sour aren’t overly sweet/sickly. We will continue to use Chungs as our go to for a great take away. Our favourites are:
Deep fried salt & chilli Prawns
Black bean Beef
Ginger & spring onion Chicken

Growing up in Bude this was always my favourite Chinese takeaway and even now as an adult it beats many in the various towns and cities I have moved to since.
A very large menu with plenty of dishes to choose from. The sweet and sour chicken is a personal favourite as well as the pancake rolls.
If you are not able to drive then it can be a bit problematic to access (Silver River on the Strand is also an excellent Chinese takeaway within the town centre and therefore easier to access on-foot) but if you can I definitely recommend Chungs.
As with many of the takeaways in Bude it is cash only. The nearest ATMs are at Sainsbury's and Co-op.
