Now called the Indian Ocean but the menu seems the same and delicious with dishes we had never heard of so had to try! We had a takeaway which you order from the back door of the kitchen so can see the controlled mayhem racks of spices blazing gas rings going on.

Abit pricey but very delicious! Excellent service and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Behind the restaurant is this beautiful little scenic place with a lake.

We were visiting family in Builth Wells and decided to try Ginger Leaf. We wasn’t expecting the food to taste as nice as it did. It was really tasty. The service was also very good. I believe it is under new management and they are going to be updating the inside soon. Selling alcohol would also make this place better, but we were told that is something the new management is hoping to do soon.

Friendly service, excellent Indian food and a symbiotic relationship with next doors pub where alcohol can be bought and taken back in or bring your own.
Nice atmosphere and the remainder of our meal was happily put in a takeaway box for us.
Would definitely come again.

Had a beautiful meal.
Food was cooked to perfection. And the trays were quite large, so the 1 meal, was enough for 2 people. The staff were very friendly.

Staying in the middle of nowhere in a lodge on a Sunday night and fancied a takeaway... Luckily there was Ginger Leaf! Called order in, picked it up, drove it back, it was hot and hit the spot. Only suggestions would be less sweetness in the mint sauce and Passenda. I read from other reviewers that the butter chicken was sweet so I avoided it. I personally prefer spicy and my partner is more of a korma but we tried the Passenda to meet in the middle. Wonderful flavour but just a touch sweet for me. The parathas and samosas were also a little undercooked. Finally, the 'red' dipping sauce is amazing and I must have the recipe!!

A very pleasant experience in the Ginger Leaf tonight.
Good food (popadoms and pickles starter followed by chicken vindaloo, pilau rice, sag aloo, nan bread).
Good service on a busy Bank Holiday evening.
Unlicensed so take your own booze.
