I have always disliked beer, however this place has lovely flavoured beer...eg/ raspberry, cherry and peach. The flavours change every once in awhile. The wait staff are friendly helpful and accomadating. The food is lovely too. I would recommend it. Beautiful tradition pub with a beautiful garden. Loads of ales, including a tap room with even more. Lovely staff, haven't tried to food yet but can't wait to because every meal I've seen go out looks fantastic.
A great pub with an excellent variety of real ales and a knowledgeable landlord. Also has a good menu for those wishing to eat as well.
One of the best pubs in the area. A must for real ale fans.
We called in for lunch and made our selection from the over 55's menu, which was good value for money. There was plenty of seating available as ours was a mid-week visit. A lovely pub which is well worth a visit.
Lovely service and waitresses, made such an effort to make us feel welcome and enjoy our time there. Food was excellent, with good portion sizes especially the Tomahawks! Highly recommend!
Enjoyed a lovely lunch and a well kept pint of real ale. No background music just a nice relaxing buzz of conversation. Great dog friendly pub.
Another great meal excellent service we love it hear so friendly would definitely recommend it
What pubs should be like. Warm welcome, traditional interior, good beer and simple but delicious home-made food. Don’t change; and other pubs take note!
Tap takeover by Ossett brewery! Brilliant!! Great beer in a great pub.
Good food, well kept beer and a warm welcome. A fine pub.
Popped in for the Beer Festival. Really good range of well kept beers. Very friendly staff and locals. Proper country community pub.
I’m new to this pub due to my son now living in the village. Location fantastic, food and restaurant great,
Pub itself great, staff really friendly. Owners very welcoming and friendly. Overall a really great pub.
The only thing that would make it a fantastic pub is the beer garden needs TLC. The beer garden has got so much potential and some maintenance is desperately needed.
We've been meaning to go here for sometime, it took us about 1hr to walk here and I'm glad we did. Lovely traditional pub and the locals are friendly. The Sunday lunches look esp good which we will try soon. Good range of ales, no tv, fruit machines or jukebox ( well I didn't see them!). Will definitely be going there soon
