We wanted to stay in the Burford area and came across this little, inexpensive gem! Absolutely delightful setting, interior, staff and food...the menu had the traditional, but with a tasty twist. Will definitely stay here again when visiting this area.

Great all round pub. Evening meal was great and breakfast was spot on. Only gripe was the service charge slapped on the meal bill, surely it's up to the customers if they want to leave a tip! I would have left more than 10% if it had been my choice!

We came with our friends for lunch along with our dog, staff were lovely food was delicious and we were made to feel very welcome. The waitresses praised our dog for being so well behaved, we will definitely be returning. This was also the first time our dog had been in a pub as he is a rescue dog from the blue cross @burford.

Absolutely stunning place to stay, and at a reasonable price too. Our stay included breakfast which was delicious, and we also ate for dinner one evening which was good.
The WiFi was very fast and reliable across site.
Our room was above the restaurant, and is a listed building, so sound insulation is minimal. However we were not disturbed as the restaurant closed early and had a great night’s sleep. Very friendly staff. Would stay again.

Wonderful place. Gorgeous room with river view and woken by birdsong. We stayed here for a wedding held at the local Stone Barn venue (also fab). Only downside was the local taxi availability to get to and from the venue. Do make sure you book in advance as we were stuck, despite the staff trying to help us, and help us they did, the manager was kind enough to take us in her own car. That was unexpected and very kind. You don't find that kind of service anymore, so a big thanks to them. Will definitely make a bee line for this place again when in the area.

This was a gorgeous pub in a fantastic location. We took our two children at the weekend, pre-booked a meal, and we sat in the quiet restaurant. We think the food was value for money, and of good quality. The only improvement that could be made is the choices on the children's menu, as there is very little to choose from.

Popped In on our way back from The Classic Motor Hub 👌 it was spectacular. Beautiful setting by the river. Just have to add that we did have to wait for a space at the front car park (it's flat). I wouldn't try to enter the back carpark if you have a low ride height on your vehicle (you might bottom out). Food is amazing and a good selection of drinks (good local ones too).

Beautiful country pub right next to the river. Lots of outdoor seating, including covered areas for when it's warm.
Inside is very nice, good atmosphere, we found the staff very friendly and helpful.
Food was excellent, a good variety of choice, reasonable price and very tasty, everyone in our party handed back clean plates!
Dog friendly and lots of gluten free choice, highly recommend.

We stayed two nights and were very impressed by the whole experience. We were conscious of staying with a two week old baby however, after speaking to staff they accommodated us in a room away from other guests, so as not to disturb anyone. Breakfast was included, which offered a wide verity of foods to choose from. Dinner in the evening was great and value for money. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
