We came for Sunday lunch. The service was really good. Very attentive and friendly. The food was first class. The spicy broccoli soup was delicious and the roast beef and chicken dinners were amazing - hot tasty and very filling. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone who was looking for somewhere to enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable Sunday lunch.

Attendee for my Aunts 60th and had a spectacular day. Felt super safe for kids and all staff were kind and helpful. Got a bit busy at the bar sometimes but on football day with two sittings in function room, it's reasonable to expect. Sterling job all round.

Friendly host & staff. The food is very nice & I love the sticky toffee pudding. It has a spacious beer garden and a few rooms inside so you can be quiet, play games or just be part of the pub atmosphere

First visit here, but won't be the last. The food was great, and the so were the staff. I left a bit disappointed as I was soooo full I couldn't fit a dessert in!

Just had a wonderful Mothers’ Day lunch at the Red Lion; lovely service, great atmosphere and lovely polite staff. On leaving we were given a bunch of daffodils and a little tipple to take home. Thank you from two mothers, we had a wonderful day 😊😊

Fantastic Sunday roast today, great selection of vegetables, proper Yorkshire Pudding and all for a very reasonable price. If you haven't tried it (lived in the village 20+ years, drink there regularly but don't eat there???). I really do recommend you give their Sunday roast a try, you definitely won't be disappointed.

What a great pub in the centre of the village. Nice interior and a great sitting out area at the front of the pub. Drinks were good and although we didn't have food what had been ordered by other customers looked very nice.

Stuart and Gemma go above and beyond to make you feel so so welcome- we hired the room for our sons christening, everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble. sooo much food, all of our guests were so happy with it! its a perfect local spot, that we would highly recommend again and again, and will be using for future events that's for sure! Thanks for everything guys, and for letting me transform the room into Mr mcgregors garden 😆 Laura

Pleasant pub, visited when quiet during a weekday afternoon. Good range of beers including Timothy Taylors (Landlord etc) Very helpful staff.

Went for an evening meal with friends. It was a warm and cosy feel on arrival. Excellent food from a good selection and drinks were ordered. The staff and especially the landlord could not have been more friendly and helpful. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and will certainly look to visit again when we are in the area.

We Love this pub .weve had Sunday lunch there for the last two weeks brilliantly cooked the gravy super . Very good service . Going to be making this a regular place to eat

Love the new menu! We’ve been down had a delicious Caesar salad with chicken 🥰 and the to finish a very naughty chocolate cookie dough - someone wrote sharer by mistake… I had this and wow!

Excellent Mother’s Day lunch, I was spoilt for choice while looking at the menu, which is unusual as a vegetarian! The service was great, staff very friendly and welcoming. The chocolates for Mums were a lovely touch. The food arrived in good time, and was delicious! Will definitely be back!

Amazing value. We went as a party of 12 on a Sunday. Three course of fabulous food for £15 is a steal. The prawns were delicious, the meat was tender and falling apart with proper homemade Yorkshire puddings, and a hearty desert topped the meal off brilliantly. We had children with us and they all loved their mini roast which was fab. Plus just over the road is a great children's play area where they can run around. Atmosphere was lovely and a great option of cask ale. Highly recommend a visit here.
