We had a fantastic two night stay at The White Buck in Burley. Our room was amazing and perfect for us and our dog, with a door straight into the gardens. The food was incredible, staff were fantastic at all times of the day and overall we had a wonderful time in the New Forest. Highly recommend.
Mine and my family's favourite place to stay.. such a lovely atmosphere, beautiful place and friendly staff.. nice food too! Will always be back to stay!!
Went for Sunday Roast. Booked well in advance, there were just 2 of us plus dog but the table was right beside the toilet & as it was busy, there was a constant flow to the toilets & nowhere for the dog to lay without being in the way. We asked for another table - none. Eventually found a tiny table in a corner of the Bar without chairs & without table service. Had to carry 2 chairs across the room as no staff member offered to do it. Luckily I am a fairly fit old lady.
The roast dinners were excellent though the beef one was cold. Could have done with more gravy.
I do like the food here and will come again, on a less crowded day 😀

We stayed at the White Buck for two nights for the wife’s birthday weekend & and really enjoyed ourselves.
Sherry upgraded us to a junior suite which was an unexpected but welcome treat. Thank you Sherry!
All the staff are superb and extremely helpful.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
(P.s. They serve the best hot chocolate that I’ve ever had!)
Out to lunch with family. Beautiful location in the forest, plenty of parking and lovely beer garden. Sadly a mediocre meal, we all chose from the various roast menu, but disappointingly not up to expectations given the menu was on the pricier side for a pub lunch. Don't get me wrong, all edible, but not to the standard I would have expected from a hotel with a pub, and have definitely had better meals and service elsewhere. Portions were good, but looked better than they tasted. Maybe we just chose unwisely although we all thought a Sunday roast was a safe bet on a busy Sunday afternoon. Desserts were delicious, although small portions for the price. Lovely location for a drink . A generous 4/5 as could have been better, but better than a 3.
I actually really liked this place!
The service was quick and the staff are really helpful and friendly.
I had a pizza and it was honestly so full of flavour and a good size-I got to take half of it home in a takeaway pizza box
Highly recommend this place !!
We eat here quite alot and have had some lovely meals and snacks..
They really do listen to feedback as before I wrote a review about a lovely sharing platter not having enough flat bread..the next time we went there was plenty..lovely location..and also a lovely circular walk nearby.
Last meal they went the extra.mile to help with my nut allergy
Finished work around the corner at the YHM and wanted a pint and a bite to eat. Let me say on first arrival the place looks picturesque with it's surroundings. Walked through the pub doors and was warmly welcomed by two fellas behind the bar whom where extremely welcoming, was excited with the large selection of beers and ales on offer. After a few tasters me and my work colleague went for a London Pride and Beavertown...we then ordered the burger and daily pie special...both of which were excellent. I can't really fault the service in any way...nice to find friendly enthusiastic staff behind a bar. Also the place is clean especially the toilets so well done...5 stars from me!
Thankyou the White Buck for accommodating and supporting our recent off-site business planning event. Food, accommodation, outstanding service and of course the wonderful breakfast ladies made for an exceptional week. Thank you again for looking after us so well.
Had a wonderful lunch at White Buck.
This is our 1st time ….the food was excellent. The location was perfect had a good atmosphere to it. The service was very good…special thanks to Julie and Dawn and for the lovely thought and flowers for my Mum’s Birthday. Thank you all and we will be back for sure.
Good outdoor space with play area. Dogs welcome. When we were there service was very slow. We didn't eat there but coffee was good.
Great pub in the new forest. Loooooads of outdoor tables, sunshine and shade. Dog friendly!
Good selection of beers on tap.. Including Beavertown! Which you don't often see in country pubs.
