Amazing fish and chips! We are staying in Burnham Market and decided to have a chippy tea - we chose the Mermaid Chip Shop as it was closest to the accommodation. Definitely among the best fish and chips I have had in a while; the curry sauce was very good too. Food was cooked to order, but the service was quick and efficient. Can't fault this place - highly recommended.
Our fish and chips were great. Fish was fresh and cooked very well, the chips were also very good. It's popular with locals and the large waiting area was busy and friendly. We had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes, they seem to cook every order from scratch, so the food was great.
The home made Tartar sauce was excellent, i recommend trying that.
Really good food, friendly staff and not too expensive. Haven't had a bad experience yet and they've been my go to fish and chips for years now. Highly recommended if you're passing by.
Lovely variety of tasty food on the way back from the seaside. Recommend getting mac and cheese bites on the side with your meal. Whitebait and halloumi was wonderful!
One of the best fish and chips I've ever had
Up from London stayed at the The Railway just next door...After a hard days work needed something decent and quick to eat and I certainly found it Lovely fish even better service and even better battered mars bars. Family run and it shows in the quality!
Great fish and chips. Staff shortages meant a 30 min wait but it was worth it. Reasonably priced too
It was almost two years ago that I came here on a holiday nearby - and was delighted to find battered halloumi on the menu. The generous portions were beautifully cooked. I’m returning soon and will be back!
