One of the best pubs in East Essex. Bank holiday BBQ in the garden was all freshly caught and butchered game. Real ale straight out the barrel. Come here, impress your shipmates.
Nice pub with a friendly welcome slightly off the main drag, at time of post, limited food available, but sausage rolls with haggis were good.
4 real ales on beer engines with a good selection of beer and at least a couple of ciders. It's definitely worth a visit if you like a beer.
Living locally I enjoy the lively adult atmosphere and especially the real ales and ciders; john and his staff are great and keep the beer flowing even during busy events. Pub crawl on Wednesday 28th June, drank in every pub in Burnham on Crouch so I think I am qualified to rate this as the best (of 9 pubs). Nice to chat to a regular Camra member in there who lives a few doors away - hope he has a good day …
Luvley pub. Did not have any food. But the black pudding and sausage roll looked very good.
