A roomy cafe/restaurant with friendly helpful staff. Our Sunday roast was well presented but the meat was not tender which spoiled the experience a little. We had the pork. However our banana boat desert was very impressive & delicious. Great location just off the seafront. We thought the price of £10.75 for the roast was very reasonable but the desert at £6.95 we felt was excessive even though it was excellent. (Prices as of May 2023) Will definitely go again.

We loved our visit to this cafe! The staff are lovely, it's got a really nice cozy atmosphere and prices are reasonable. Our food was delicious and the portions are great. We came here on a whim while I'm holiday and are so glad we did!

Would have been five stars but for reaching the front of the queue and ordering our drinks we were informed we'd have to repeat the process because we were unsure of exactly what we wished to eat. But once our food order was taken the service was swift. ( May we suggest the management make the menu more available before customers arrive at the counter). This is no way a reflection on the staff, who we found were very polite and professional.The food was tasty as well as being reasonably priced. Yet Covid-19 precautions were lacking with one member of staff just wiping around the menu (missing great swathes of the table next to us) when clearing the used crockery.(3/4/22)

Food was fantastic and great service. Some very rude customers, felt very sorry for the staff. But I would definitely recommend the beautiful breakfast and Sunday roast!

1st visit whilst staying at Haven.Visited twice whilst on a Monday to Friday break as don't think could be bettered. Frontage doesn't do justice to what is a large cafe with an retentive food and ice cream menu and they do my favourite Knickerbocker glory. We had the ploughman's one lunchtime. I had ham and cheddar and it came with a whole 8apple and it was ho.w cooked ham delicious. I lwill certainly be back when in arr snd recommend.

Highest compliments to this establishment, the whole experience was outstanding. We were a hungry family after participating in your local rugby festival over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed your homemade food. A nice little cafe with lots of food to choose from and friendly staff. We visit whenever we are in Burnham. Good value for money too!

Great place is Fortes and historic place too which has been on the same place for as long as I know and had a knicker bocker glory and also had 3 scoops of ice cream in one cone. I would recommend Fortes to anyone who visits Burnham on Sea or is a local and wants to have time to themselves especially on a nice sunny day like it was today (Bank Holiday Monday).
