Happy Chef

Ive been using The Happy Chef for more years then I care to mention. Simon the owner is a great guy and on the whole the food is above average. Ive done a comparison to the Jade Garden in Eton Wick so please read. Essentially, there are many dishes they do well, there are also several dishes that the Jade Garden does way better. So yes, sometimes ive used both to garner the best takeaway. The Happy Chef is a lot more easy to use and delivers, the Jade Garden is less flexible with its service. I prefer to use The Happy Chef as my main go too Chinese take away of choice because it is hands above the rest on offer in Slough & Maidenhead (trust me ive used them all). To prove a point though, buy a portion of Sweet & Sour Chicken balls from each place (Jade Garden & The Happy Chef) you will see the Jade Garden is way way better, but buy ribs or a curry from the Happy Chef and its banging compared to the jade Garden. So overall if you can be bothered use both on a planned meal! Happy eating!

Always an amazing Chinese Takeaway. I've been going here for a couple of decades now. I tried the Crispy Curry Beef rolls for the first time and they were amazing. Not really spicy at all, just a light tingle. They are about half as big again as mini spring rolls. Also I think they are Thai style. For 2 people. A main each, a rice and a Chow Main is enough for 2 days meals, for my wife and I at least. So plenty of food.

Absolutely love this place and always our go to for our traditional new year's eve meal. Great service, exceptional food at a great price. Lady on the front desk is always friendly. I have spoken to the owner on a couple nof occasions who has always been accommodating. Yes sometimes there's a wait for our order; but that's because they are busy and reinforces how good they are.

Quite possibly our new go-to for a Chinese! The gent at the front desk was incredibly hospitable (which often I don't really mind but it did make a change!) The food was tasty, not too salty, great flavour, hot, good pricing, the unit was clean and they took pride in their atmosphere. Can't wait to try more on.our next cheat day!
