The Bobbin

Myself and 3 friends went for our Christmas lunch on Friday. We all had 3 courses and chose a variety of dishes from the main menu and the specials board. A mixture of vegetarian, fish and meat dishes. None of could fault anything on any plate of food. It was all excellent. Two of our party were really pleased to see the dairy free options in the very wide choice of desserts. All of us left full and extremely satisfied. The service was also excellent, a really friendly cheerful team of staff helped to create a very nice atmosphere. Can't wait to go again.

I came here first to visit the fabric shop but my friend had said the cafe adjoining was great, well she wasn’t joking, it’s fantastic ! I LOVE this place, great service, very clean, warm and welcoming. The food is amazing, home made and scrumptious. My first visit I had mushroom soup and a roll just to see and it was ace. The last time I had grilled goats cheese with polenta fritters and salad, it didn’t disappoint. The mill itself is in such a rundown area you could be put off but don’t be as it really is worth a visit.

Regular dinners. Came to have breakfast today menu changed not for the better. No second refill of coffee!!! So if you get your drink on entry its cold when your breakfast comes. Hence the second drink is really good. Portions smaller if you want two bacon etc all extra charge. No sauté potatoes any more. Very disappointed. Therefore even though the price is reduced so is the content. Staff absolutely great. Sorry but we will not be coming again.

What a diamond in the rough! I didn't even know this place existed as you can't see it from the road. Tucked away just off the canal near parkour area this little amazing place was alive with class. The staff were very friendly, and the food was just amazing. Simple burger and fries got served looking like a 5 Star meal. Presentation and all! Highly recommended to book a table ! Will definitely visit again.

Cosy, good food great staff fantastic value.. a shining example of how an independent food business could and should be run.. fresh, well cooked meals, home made cakes many of which are gluten free and decent coffee and tea.. more to the point this is great food at very reasonable prices. It's busy, and it deserves to be.
