Fantastic service today to Abbeygate Picture House/No 4 Restaurant and Bar. I’m Vegan and they were able to provide a full allergens list, as well as the staff recommending items and double checking with the kitchen on what we could have. We ended up with their ‘bun-less’ version of the Falafel and Halloumi Burger (with no halloumi of course!) with garlic mushrooms added. The mixed salad it came with was delicious and really varied, with mixed beans and great guacamole. Chips were great too!! Would highly recommend!

The food here was really lovely. It was the best beef rib I’ve ever had! The staff were attentive and friendly For dinner, the ambience could have been better- maybe with little battery powered lamps on each table or some lamps around the room? Otherwise a fab little dinner spot!

Experienced the food 4 film...Pulp Fiction. This event was amazing. The food was fabulous and the courses tied into the movie beautifully. The adrenaline shot was inspired. A huge congratulation to Matt and his team. Looking forward to the next one. Get in quick I think these events are gonna fly...

Had a baby shower upstairs here along with afternoon tea. It was amazing! Everyone commented how lovely the food was, particularly the rolls and lemon cake. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Such a brilliant venue to have for an event.

Family brunch today was absolutely fabulous. Beautifully presented, huge portions freshly cooked to order. Best mocha I’ve had in years. Excellent service from the Abbeygate team. Couldn’t fault in any way. A gem.

Lovely ambiance. Great food with a different menu to the norm. I had Mongolian Tofu - it was delicious. The puddings were yummy.

A Lovely restaurant tucked away inside the Abbeygate Cinema building in Hatter Street. We had booked a table for 12 for a family celebration , the service was excellent, food arrived promptly and was delicious as well as very good value for money. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Highly recommended.

Wonderful little restaurant, great food and attentive staff. I would highly recommend and will definitely be going back. The added bonus is the independent Abbeygate cinema within the building which I also highly recommend with it reclining seats and sofas 😊

It was a lovely place to have lunch. The atmosphere was nice , the staff were friendly and made u feel very welcome. The service was fast , not having to wait long for our order to arrive which was very good . It was off the main road but was a hidden gem , well worth finding . Would certainly visit again .

Returned today for a bite to eat after 18 months of not being able to come. The menu has been updated, its still one of our favourites. Highly recommended, the cuban rolls were packed full of delicious food. Thank you.

Our first time eating here and it was a large group for the size of the establishment. The food was first class with the nicest steak I have had in a while, cooked perfectly (medium rare) and served with an attractive selection of vegetables. This was only eclipsed by the dessert. A home made ginger sponge served with ice cream and cream. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Add to this the ambience of the cosy surroundings of a boutique cinema. Excellent value for money and an wonderful setting for coffee and cake or a 3 course meal, with or without a movie .
