Food was amazing. One of the best pub meals I have ever had. Venison was really tasty both as steak and in the pie. Desert was amazing and ice cream delicious. If you Re nearby visit!

As always, a great meal at the Squire and Horse. We've never been disappointed. There is a friendly welcome and excellent, unobtrusive service. The liver and bacon is the best around, and the Aussie pavlova so delicious.

We came for a family celebration. The vegan options were written down by the kitchen on a separate scrap of paper but not all of them were available so our choices were even more limited.
The food was very nice though, portion sizes were good .

We stopped here on our way home.
I had calves liver and bacon. It was excellent.
My wife had a goats cheese and red onion chibatta which also went down a storm.
Great staff, food and a nice pint of Harvey's Best to wash it down.
We will back.

Travelled down south for 1x night and was recommended The Squire & Horse from the B&B we were stopping at.... and boy, we were not disappointed. The food was incredibly tasty and came out piping hot. Zero complaints at all and commendations sent to the chef!

Went there for a Sunday lunch, the way they served it was amazing. Meat and Yorkshire on the plate some veg and a huge bowl of roasties I mean HUGE!
I didn't eat again for a week.
The service is great and staff friendly.
We went there with my mother who remembered the waitress but not me. Even the dementia customers want to go back.
Will definitely be going back.

We now call this the pudding pub! Quality homemade desserts. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We visited on Sunday and had a roast which was pretty nice - meat on the minimal side and veg looked like it had come from a frozen packet from Iceland but non the less was good. Would go again.
