When we arrived after travelling for hours, we were cold and hungry, they prepared us a lovely meal.
The two girls were lovely and very friendly.

Great bar with a friendly landlord, an excellent pint of Guinness and a great set of local lads in the bar. Good craic was had and Iâd highly recommend this bar

Popped into this pub for a drink and a bite to eat. The landlady was very pleasant and helpful in conversation.
Had a lunchtime light bite menu selection of which we chose from and it was enjoyable. The drinks were well kept and of the correct temperature.
Our dog's were allowed in and rewarded with a biscuit treat. Well worth a visit while in Buxton... đđťđđ

Popped in for a quick lunch. Nice pub menu and great to see the option of the (actually generously sized) smaller portions. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

From the outside it looks like a locals' serious drinkers pub, and that might be part of its culture, but once in it was very friendly and welcoming, bright and shiny with lovely polished floors and plenty of tables and chairs, and more relaxing seating to chill out on. . It was a late Thursday afternoon so not very busy, but the ones clustered round the bar were very friendly, as were the staff. The landlady came over and we had a long conversation. Dog friendly, and serve food as well, (do a sunday roast), though we didn't eat. All in all, a lovely pub.

Good freindly staff and equally good pint. Previous occupant of tables dishes not cleared away. Otherwise, cant fault it.
