First time I've been there for years, and what a great pub it is! First class beer, top quality food, and exceptionally friendly and professional staff! Excellent all round, Cheers!!
Update - I've been going there for a few years now, and I still think this place is fantastic! The staff are always lovely, and the food has always been tremendous. Brilliant pub and a beautiful view from the beer garden, just tops off this magnificent pub

Family meal
I read the previous review from Hannah and was very surprised. We also visited 2 days ago - family of 8.
We booked here after reading the great reviews -our first visit, I had no problem ringing up and reserving our table.
We found the staff were fantastic, it was an extremely busy Friday evening but as soon as we stepped through the door we were greeted very warmly by Ellen and shown immediately to our table, she was so attentive and friendly.
Two members of our family were running 1/2 hour late and the staff were fantastic about it we weren't rushed in any way.
The food is all home cooked and delicious, well plated and good portions sizes.
The menu selection is vast, even a smaller appetite menu, people don’t realise that this makes it extremely difficult for the chefs having to order in all these ingredients , prep and cook for such a large menu choice- so credit to the chefs and kitchen team, they work very hard!!
My omelette I chose was so yummy it was totally delicious, we all agreed how nice the food was.
My favourite dessert was on the menu so I was well pleased - biscoff cheesecake - Mmmm….delicious😋😋
It was a fantastic night, I can’t fault the staff at all, they were all very attentive. It’s a lovely place to visit and we will be definitely returning. ****
Faultless everytime I visit which is at least once a week, usually for a spot of lunch. Generally I'm a fan of the Sandwich / Baguettes and the Smaller Plates menus, good selection and portions are extremely generous and of excellent value.
