What a gem of a pub! This is not your average pub grub, the food is really something special. So much thought and imagination has gone into the menu. A great range of local beers, from the pubs own independent brewery no less. Generally a lovely vibe, friendly staff and a fire always on the go, what’s not to love.
Such a lovely pub! It’s been newly renovated and it’s so cosy and welcoming. We tried the new bar snacks menu and everything we ate was amazing… the care put into sourcing ingredients and using local suppliers was evident and it’s so nice to have that from a local pub. Great beer and great vibes

Absolutely incredible service. Beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant. Visiting from Australia and experienced a wonderful evening celebrating a birthday. Food delicious using local produce. Staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome and looked after. Amazing night. A hidden gem.
Such a brilliant new era for The Carps. Local microbrewery Heathen Soul have taken it over recently and done a awesome job renovating. Kept the old charm. Just doing drinks for August, their own brews plus local ales and ciders.Already …
