We went in here late on Monday afternoon to get some much needed sustenance, after several hours in the nearby Sedgwick Museum. The lady was very welcoming, friendly and helpful, not only to myself and my daughter, but with the other customers who came in. The mozzarella, tomato and pesto ciabatta I had was really delicious and the cup of tea was excellent; in fact the best cup of tea I've had in a cafe in a long time. The price was very reasonable too. I will definitely be returning on subsequent trips to the museums. The only thing I would change is for a seat with a back, as I found the breakfast bar stools rather high and hard to sit on, but I understand they are for space saving. Perhaps some cushions please 🙂

Stopped in for a lunch after exploring Cambridge, and was pleasantly surprised by just how amazing this cafe is. Not only is the food great and fresh, the woman serving us, who I believe owns the cafe, was incredibly kind and welcoming. You can tell she really loves what she does, not only does she greet every customer with a smile but she knows the people she served, as she made conversation with regulars. We came back here again the next day because of how amazing this place is. I highly recommend it.

The most warm, friendly little coffee shop. The baguettes were very good too. One of the only places we come across that would accept cash also. Highly recommend stopping for some quality caffeine and a bite to eat.

This is hands down the best cafe in Cambridge. Its down Pembroke street a bit, so out of the way for a lot of tourists and it's absolutely incredible. I studied at Pembroke College for a bit and would stop by Trockel for a coffee and a sandwich between reading and to destress a bit. I would probably go once or twice a week to eat and study for a few hours. The owner is the sweetest person I have ever met and after stopping in twice she remembered my name and would ask about my day/studies. The chai lattes are creamy and incredible, the ham sandwiches are surprisingly delicious for being so simple, and she made a chocolate orange cake that I would eat on particularly stressful days that was awesome. From the outside it looks like it would smell smoked fish but its actually the coziest cafe in Cambridge! So worth a stop in

Excellent cake, tasty veggie pasties and good coffee, without fail served with a smile. A tiny place, but a favourite haunt of students and University workers alike. The owner's just lovely, too - always incredibly friendly. A good place for an afternoon coffee or a quick bite for lunch; I paid £6.30 for two coffees and a (highly recommended) blackcurrant and yogurt flapjack.

The owners and the food are just lovely. Simple ingredients and options but with wonderful flavor and just the friendliest place to sit for a bit. Absolutely worth stopping by for lunch. I had the goat cheese and tomato ciabatta- I recommend it.

Cosy little place, run by a lovely lady, serving lunch: toasted ciabatta, quiches, soups, and some hot beverage. The shop is singlehandedly run by a lovely lady who prepared delicious tomato, goat cheese and pesto for me. Coffee was alright. The shop not big, with around ten seats, is clean and feels covid - safe. Free wifi available.
