The Grain & Hop Store

Grainy Hop is a lovely place to spend an evening, to grab some food or share a drink in the sun with friends. And they have awesome events, boogie nights are great! It's like the place was made for it! It's a Serotonin event I believe, and they are never a let down, they seem to have found their pairing with Grain and Hop. A cool pub atmosphere downstairs, and disco DJs upstairs, it's brilliant! I've been to a few of these events now and they are always a blast! The staff are really friendly, one bouncer in particular had me in stitches. All in all, grab some food, relax for a bit and then if there's an event on, do it!

We came to a recent music event held at The Grain & Hop Store and were immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and the music, which was live, was outstanding- a mix of local performers and DJs- the beer was good too! We can thoroughly recommend this pub as the place to go in Cambridge.

The venue is really spacious and the upstairs space really beautiful. The atmosphere is always great fun. I went a couple of times to a boogie nights event with a lot of DJs and love acts of soul, funk, and disco and it was one of the best event I’d been in a while! I would absolutely recommend the venue and their events!

The Grain & Hop has, for me, become one of the main venues I go to in Cambridge! The building is absolutely beautiful, the staff are friendly and welcoming, there’s lots of live music performances as well as DJ sets that you can enjoy for free and there are TVs everywhere, making it perfect for watching sport! If you haven’t checked it out already you really should!

My friends and I came in for a drink and some food yesterday and it was a really really great experience. The bar was light and airy and there are two floors to choose to sit on. The staff were friendly and really lovely and helpful. The food was hot and really nice. We also had a go on the shuffle board whilst we were there which was great fun. Looking at the boards that were around the bar it has lots of different events on, had large spaces for corporate bookings and also shows all the sport so it seems like it has something for everyone and from our experience we wouldn’t agree more. We will be back.

Our second visit in recent weeks here and it was even better than then last and has improved so much compared to when we came earlier in the year around February time (I believe new management now in place according to our server) The atmosphere was just wonderful, the bar was clean and tidy and most importantly all the staff were just so great. I recommend everyone to go here whether it’s to relax and watch some sport, dine out with your family or just relax and play some shuffle or board games (we did all of these during our visit) We are booking our Christmas party here soon too. Keep it up grain and hop store.

Ordered a classic Cheese and Bacon Burger. Simple, familiar and nice taste. Bbq sauce, mustard and ketchup all on the side. But they compliment the burger very well. Had a Cafe Flat White and it has a was too much milk foam. Though the foam was actually delicious! Will I come back again? Yes. Will definitely return to try other food and drinks. They look like they have a great selections of beer and beverage at the bar.

We recently had our baby shower here! We could not recommend it enough! The staff were SO accommodating with our booking. And the food they put on was very reasonably priced considering the quality and quantity (we had the mixed buffet menu). They even put labels on the veggie/vegan options. Everyone commented on the food and said it was delicious! They also loved the great selections of beers/wines/gins. 😀 oh and the view of Parker's Piece is amazing. Thanks for making a special day even more beautiful!
