Fantastic pub, cannot recommend enough. I went to one of the quiz nights with my partner and ordered both food and drink. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. Definitely a must to visit here for something to eat.

Awesome place to visit. Beautiful outside setting and lovely rustic 'old but new' on the inside. Staff were lovely and friendly and the food was great! Will be a great new regular place to visit.

Absolutely adore this pub, perfect location for a cheeky cocktail or a coffee after a dog walk. Food is lovely, especially the fish and chips! Staff couldn’t have been more happy and helpful. Will visit again!

Lovely spot on the river by a punt hire place. Not a large selection on the menu plus while we were there some things were unavailable today food and service was very good.

Super pub on a quiet part of the Cam. Really nice scenic views from the balcony gallery. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service was brilliant. Not too long with spot on timing between courses. Great place to chill with friends (beer garden is roomy and with tasteful layout ) or visit for that special occasion. Has homely true country pub feel but just on the doorstep of town.

We hired the riverside terrace of the Granta for a Friday evening BBQ for 80 of our guests who were in Cambridge for our wedding the following day. The staff were polite and very helpful throughout the booking process and on the day itself, including the manager coming to check in with us several times on the evening to check it was all going well. The food was excellent - many of our guests commented on how good the different burgers were - and it was really convenient having our own separate bar for drinks.
It is an absolutely magical setting on a summer's evening overlooking the river, and we could not have hoped for better.
We highly recommend the terrace for anyone planning a similar event.

What a gem of a place. This view is sooooo, lovely. The new additions to the menu are super..... the veggie pies, my goodness, who knew that leek and cheese could taste that good! So hard to find good veggie stuff, loved it! Charming service, even though they were clearly understaffed.

Lovely pub to sit, relax and chill with beers after long walk around Cambridge. Clean toilet. They also have a nice balcony to sit and see the river view.

Cozy-ish. Front of house staff ranges from pleasant to indifferent. Food is ok, assuming that they remember to serve you. Today, I waited 40 minutes for a burger (very few customers in the place). When I asked about my food, I finally got it: stone cold, having sat at the pass for a looooong time. Wait staff apologetic, so that's something. Can't really fault the chef on that one, but do not order the nachos (!) and don't challenge the kitchen, generally. I've been here more than once. Can you tell? I'd like to make it my local, but...Drinks ok. Atmosphere as you might expect. Location good. View lovely. Overall, D+/C-.
To follow up, the manager (?) asked how everything was, and when I told him, he gave me a refund. Good naturedly...good business practice.

Great location - sitting out on the balcony was wonderful. But enjoyment spoiled by two issues:
1. The food - feels really prepackaged/prepared. I didn't enjoy my burger and chips at all.
2. We started getting hassled to leave 10 mins after time was called (most of us still had half full glasses) - and more or less chased out by 11:20pm. I understand the staff want to close, and that this is at the licensee's discretion - but their attitude was very surly and unfriendly.

The food is alright, but the service is slow. We waited a bit over an hour for our food.
Eating out in the terrace is nice though.
It is a great place to have a drink, but be prepared to wait if your order food.

I ignored all the bad reviews I had read online and went anyway, for which I have huge regrets. This is a fine place to go for an afternoon drink by the river, but forget about eating here.
The food was not too slow and wasn't very expensive, but i can honestly say it was the worst burger I've ever eaten. It was hard to get the fork into the meat, never mind actually cutting/biting through it!
The location is wonderful, but the service is poor and I would avoid the BBQ altogether.

Great location by the river, you can sit out on the deck and watch the punters and cyclists. Service was SLOW; we waited about half an hour or more for our food and it wasn't as if it was a packed house.
Went with a friend and got the 2 for £9.95 deal; she got the burger, I got the cauliflower tart. Both came with chips. Pretty good though my tart was a bit overdone, definitely around the edges. But I guess that's why it took so long, because they were overcooking my food.
