Loved this place best in Cambridge by far would highly recommend to everyone
I eat here maybe once or twice a week. Awesome and funny guys that make good recommendations! The fish and chips is always good, and the chicken nuggets and half chicken with a bit of chili sauce too! Excited to try stuff off the new menu.
This is the best fish and chips in Cambridge. I have eaten at all the others and this is by far the best. The batter is always nice and crispy and the fish is always fresh and flaky. The two brothers are friendly with a fantastic sense of humour. The quality of the food and the service is consistent you will never be disappointed. If you love fish and chips you’ll love this place. I do!

The battered fish and sausages are crispy, the batter is delicious and not damp or soggy at all. The chips are just what you want, perfect. The mushy peas and gravy also very good. The staff are also very friendly.
I very highly recommend the Godfather; they'll make you a fish supper you can't refuse 😉
Cooked fresh to order ...gorgeous large cod (massive too ...taken home to add my own sides ..etc..)
All whilst having a real giggle with the two brothers ...especially if you ask him to show you his famous potato peeling 🤣🤣🤣

We only moved to Cambridge from London on Saturday and fancied some fish and chips yesterday. Had a look at the reviews for The Codfather as it's our closest chippy and decided to give it a go. Went along and found out the guy behind the counter was from East London, proper character and had a good laugh whilst waiting for the food. Everything was being cooked fresh so no complaints about the wait at all (If you complain about waiting for freshly cooked food there's something wrong with you!). The guy was throwing out a load of cooked chips and said he doesn't want to serve half hour old food to his customers, how can you argue with that! The fish was beautiful and very large, crispy batter, succulent flesh and perfectly cooked. The chips were also 'very' good and the portion size was amazing, it fed both me and my wife. That was only 1 large cod and a small (understatement of the year) portion of chips, mushy peas and a pickled onion (I was given 3 with no extra charge). I guess the question is, will I be trying anywhere else? The answer would have to be, why would I when this place was so good? If you fancy great fresh food this is definitely the place to go, no horse (or fish) head on the pillow required as extra persuasion. The quality of the food and service speaks for itself :)

Easily the best fish and chips around! I always eat here…the shop is really clean…the guys in there are lovely…the fish is good quality and a good size! The chips are fresh and cooked just right..full of flavour…
