I went in here on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. A lady of a certain age (nearly 50) on her own and I was met with a lovely bar man and his lovely girlfriend (who he moved to Cambridge for, what a lovely pair). He made me the most wonderful gin martini and made me feel most welcome, a gent. The reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is the decor. Your bar staff are worth more than that, get it sorted and you have a 5 star spot ;)

Hosted a private event in the Secret Library of 2648 Cambridge and would really recommend it. A cozy feel for such a big space and the chicken wings banged as well. Without a doubt though the best thing about the 2648 are the staff. Annii, Will and Amber were so welcoming and made the whole event go really smoothly.

Heard about the place, came in for a few drinks and ended up spending more time there! Will and Annii were lovely, Will had so much cocktail knowledge and Annii, having broken her hand bless her, had a great chat with us and made us feel welcome…if you’re looking for great service and amazing cocktails this is a great place to go

I was originally going to give this place 3 stars, but the people working there were so darn nice that I feel horrible doing that. I went when it wasn't too busy, and got an order of chips with an espresso martini. Presentation for the martini gets a 4/5 - it was cute. Taste was more of a 3/5. I can't quite put my finger on what it was, but it had a soapy taste as if the glass had not been rinsed properly after being washed?... Atmosphere is interesting. It's in a basement, and a little on the old/eclectic side of things, but it works for them. Bathrooms could use a little work if I'm being honest here though... Either way, it's worth at least checking this place out, because the service *is* very friendly and that's often hard to come by in areas heavily populated by tourists.
