Lawrence is the landlord. He presides over a truly wonderful pub, an 'island of beauty'. No grim pop music. Great beer, and a very familial atmosphere. He can be a very proud publican for sure! Renato and Frank were very polite and really quite lovely barman! I will be back he within in the week for sure!
This pub is a gem with the cleanest pipes in Cambridge. Barkeeper Frank is a true legend, works for two, and makes sure you never stay thirsty for too long. It is a place full of character and authenticity; a place where you find yourself in the paradoxical situation that time seems to stand still but you'll end up asking yourself where it has gone so quickly in the end of the night... always worth a visit!
A proper pub - no food, just good alcohol and a nice space. A nice wood burning stove completes the atmosphere. Also do a fantastic pub quiz on Tuesdays at 8pm.
